              Above and beyond our expectations!

              5 of 5
Our family has just spent several days (April 26-29) at Red Cottage and loved every minute. The occasion was our daughter's wedding in Portsmouth and it made the time spent with friends and family even more special. The house is warm and elegant with antique touches and beautiful art throughout. Rooms are large and each bedroom has its own bathroom. While you may not think you need an elevator, it made moving luggage and groceries to upper floors a breeze. The kitchen is amazing and opens onto a large deck and porch that wraps around. It is the perfect stage for family gatherings. There is a sweeping lawn down to the waterfront and the views looking south to New Hampshire and east to Whaleback Light let you imagine the past. And, there are spectacular sunsets over the water looking west. Truly 180 degrees of views. Red Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way. It is definitely a five out of five stars. Thank you to Jim and Tudor for sharing your beautiful home and letting us share it with family and friends.

              Great stay!

We recently stayed at the Lighthouse so the whole family could stay together for our daughter's graduation from UNH. It was perfect for the whole family. The house was beautiful and we loved all of the little artistic details like the crown moldings, medallions, and the mantelpiece. We enjoyed the beautiful views, especially from the top of the lighthouse and from the dock across the street. We had meals together in the dining room and spent evenings chatting in the living room or watching TV. The location is terrific. It is situated on Chauncey Creek and is a short drive from shops in York, the Kittery outlets, and the great restaurants in Portsmouth. I do not recommend the house for anyone with toddlers because of the many stairs, but the elevator was a terrific help for Grandma and Grandpa, who have some mobility issues. Ed and Rosie are excellent hosts and were very attentive to all our needs. Our arrival was delayed by several hours due to traffic on our drive to Maine, and they were very understanding and accommodating. We recommend their lovely home to anyone looking for a fun getaway.
