  • Great Holiday Getaway

"We stayed at this property for our first Thanksgiving as a family! We wanted somewhere peaceful to enjoy the time together and this was the perfect spot. The house worked perfectly for our holiday. It's so cozy and inviting, and the views are to die for. The house had everything we needed so we were able to really sit back and relax. The town of Eastham is also very welcoming, we had to run to the market to grab a few things and it reminded me of home. Everyone knew eachother and there were so many friendly faced that stopped to say hi to you. It was a great experience. Thank you to Charles and Paula for allowing us to stay here! They were great throughout the process. We will be going back!"

  • Homey spacious cottage in the woods

"We loved our stay at this cute cottage tucked back a dirt lane road. Quick drive to Cooks Brook Beach which we loved exploring at low tide. Perfect beach for small children. Eastham was a great location for exploring the lower arm of the cape. (We visited Wellsfleet and Chatam and also Highland Lighthouse in Truro). Also close to bike trail. We loved the big yard and deck this property offered. We found the queen bed to be quite comfortable and our daughters pack-n-play fit perfectly in between the twin beds. The kitchen was well stocked. Every time I searched for something I needed, it was found if I looked hard enough. And the outdoor shower was great. We loved this homey, relaxing cottage and hated to leave."

  • Great location, perfect for a family

"Wonderful location near the bike path, big grocery store, and a 5-minute drive to First Encounter beach on the bay side. And close to the big waves of Nauset Beach as well. The screened-in porch was excellent for lounging around and evening meals, and there were plenty of chairs both inside and out. We really appreciated being able to use the beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and boogie boards. The cottage was clean and everything was in working order. Bedrooms were a good size with lots of storage/closet space. It was perfect cottage for our family of 5."

  • Wonderful, tidy cottage close to the bay

"This cottage perfectly met our needs for a stay in the last full week of August. The location is unbeatable, as it is a five minute walk to the bay side beach. (As an aside, Thumpertown is probably not my favorite of all the bay beaches, it gets the job done. When the tide is out, there is much to explore. Definitely check the tide schedule, though, because there is virtually no beach when the tide is high.) It's a short drive to the commercial retail and restaurants that line Route 6, including the delicious Hole In One Donuts and our favorite for lobster rolls, Arnold's. Eastham has so much to offer for pretty much any outdoor interest - kayaking, biking, running, hiking. Wiley Park is close and worth checking out, as is Nickerson State Park. Of course the National Seashore is a great spot to visit. Don't miss the Salt Pond Visitor Center, which is free and has trails and lots of great information. The cottage itself is small, but works great for a family of four. The nice thing is that the square footage is all reserved for the dining and living areas, so it makes it feel bigger than it is. The screened in porch also functions as a third bedroom, so if you have kids who don't do well with sharing, this is a good option. Best yet is the outdoor space, including a Bocce court that wowed, new patio furniture, a large gas grill, a hammock, and outdoor games. In addition, there is a washing machine and clothes line. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, and utensils for cooking, with a full-size stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker with filters, and toaster oven. There is salt and pepper, but be prepared to bring any other seasonings or cooking essentials, including sugar for your coffee. You can pick up most essentials at the Eastham Superette just a couple of miles away. Overall, I highly recommend and would definitely stay again."
