  • Terrific New England Home in Chatham

"Looking for a comfortable home -- on the water -- for your Chatham vacation? Then look no further! We have been vacationing in Chatham for years and absolutely loved our stay at Mike and Donna’s home this past year. This home has all the New England charm, spacious common areas, a fully equipped kitchen, wonderful deck, beautiful grounds and it’s own beach! It doesn’t get much better than that. We rented the home for three weeks, entertained family and friends and simply enjoyed every day at this wonderful home. Given the three large bedrooms and three full baths, we had plenty of room when our Connecticut family came to visit and spend the night. The home is located in a beautiful neighborhood that is also just minutes from the restaurants and shops in downtown Chatham. It is fully equipped with everything you need for a restful vacation. We walked daily through the neighborhood, down by Oyster River or to Hardings Beach. Over the years, we’ve rented many different homes in Chatham and we give this one our highest recommendation and all 5 stars!"

  • Perfect house in a perfect location

"After a busy week in NYC, we drove up to Cape Cod for a more relaxed week, an area I'd wanted to visit for many years. The house is beautiful and in an amazing spot on the bay, very well maintained, very well equipped, very comfortable and perfect for our family of four with two teenagers. We ate at the house mostly but Mezza Luna Italian restaurant in Buzzards Bay is recommended - fantastic food and faultless service. The house is located in a perfect position at the start of the Cape, making Boston in the north and Provincetown at the end of the Cape both around an hour's drive away. We hired bikes and there is a lovely ride along the canal to a beautiful sandy beach. Lovely day spent on Martha's Vineyard although had we been more organised, we would have booked in advance and taken the car over so that we could have had more freedom to explore. It was the last weekend before school started so the return ferries had long since been fully booked. We had a great day though and it is quite easy to get around the island by bus or taxi. Falmouth is stunning, such a pretty town. We also visited the Drive-In Theatre at Wellfleet - a real treat for us Brits, we didn't even know what was showing until we parked up but we HAD to do it! We all loved our base here in Cape Cod and really hope that we will be able to come back again one day."

  • The only bad part is leaving

"This was our second year staying a week at the Teepee, so that says something I suppose. For our families (adults and 5-6 year olds), this location is the most ideal on the Cape. And we just love this house! It has a woodsy feel, with a back yard perfect for making smores in the firepit. As others have mentioned, it's convenient for spectacular bay and ocean beaches (plus the underrated Great Pond / Wiley Park right down the street- a very nice swimming lake), and for getting on the bike trail (bike rental spot is within walking distance). The house is so comfortable and relaxing and well-equipped (but, yes, the spiral staircase that leads to the two upstairs bedrooms is a bit tight and could be challenging for some). It should be noted that the house is not really "in town"- you will be biking / driving to most stores and activities. Works for us, since the trip is always beautiful no matter which direction you go, and cute Cape towns are within a few miles, but it's not for those who are looking for an in-town, walk-to-the-corner-store (or pub) experience. We enjoy the quiet, and the sounds of the birds...the tree-house feel of it all, and the easy accessibility to beaches and such. The nearby Wellfleet Drive-In is good fun for the family (fun to bring lawn chairs and sit in front of the car), and whale watching in P-Town was definitely worth the money- it's magical to see them flopping around out there. Also should be noted that we did pull a tick off one of the kids last year when we got home (probably picked-up at the Welfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, but hard to say for sure). Didn't turn into Lyme thankfully, but they are out there, and we were not so good at checking last year. We got the message- it is important to be vigilant every day about checking for them. All in all, the Teepee house, and this part of the Cape, come highly recommended for those looking for a family-friendly, nature-loving vacation in a comfortable home with accessible, friendly and helpful owners. And I bet it's really nice off-season, when the crowds have thinned out and you can get more bang for your buck. It must be beautiful in spring, with everything coming to life, and the water's still warm in the fall (actually, the ocean is warmest then). Thank you Jeanne- see you next year!"

  • A beautiful serene setting for the week of Thanksgiving

"I found this lovely gem while on the Cape in July and was so happy it was available for the week of Thanksgiving as it was only about 3 miles from my brothers house. It is a spacious home in a tranquil setting. The kitchen had everything you would need for the dishes I was to bring to my brothers home. It was an easy and enjoyable walk to the beach and with the mild temperatures, only a sweatshirt was needed. It's located in a lovely quiet neighborhood and being on the marsh, allowed for the sounds of many types of birds."
