  • Wonderful, tidy cottage close to the bay

"This cottage perfectly met our needs for a stay in the last full week of August. The location is unbeatable, as it is a five minute walk to the bay side beach. (As an aside, Thumpertown is probably not my favorite of all the bay beaches, it gets the job done. When the tide is out, there is much to explore. Definitely check the tide schedule, though, because there is virtually no beach when the tide is high.) It's a short drive to the commercial retail and restaurants that line Route 6, including the delicious Hole In One Donuts and our favorite for lobster rolls, Arnold's. Eastham has so much to offer for pretty much any outdoor interest - kayaking, biking, running, hiking. Wiley Park is close and worth checking out, as is Nickerson State Park. Of course the National Seashore is a great spot to visit. Don't miss the Salt Pond Visitor Center, which is free and has trails and lots of great information. The cottage itself is small, but works great for a family of four. The nice thing is that the square footage is all reserved for the dining and living areas, so it makes it feel bigger than it is. The screened in porch also functions as a third bedroom, so if you have kids who don't do well with sharing, this is a good option. Best yet is the outdoor space, including a Bocce court that wowed, new patio furniture, a large gas grill, a hammock, and outdoor games. In addition, there is a washing machine and clothes line. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, and utensils for cooking, with a full-size stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker with filters, and toaster oven. There is salt and pepper, but be prepared to bring any other seasonings or cooking essentials, including sugar for your coffee. You can pick up most essentials at the Eastham Superette just a couple of miles away. Overall, I highly recommend and would definitely stay again."

  • The house was amazingly cozy & a perfect retreat.

"We absolutely had an amazing time laughing with family and soaking in the beautiful water views from both inside and outside the house. The icing on the cake was when we were greeted by two gorgeous swans floating by Saturday morning . We loved the location: tucked away in a secret little cove right in the middle of everything. The clean bright white decor gives a refreshing and airy feel to the house which we loved. We are definately fond of this little gem and thank Rosalee & family for allowing us into their summer home :) - The Silvas"

  • The property is an exceptional value and delivered on every written promise.

"The Berry property is an excellent value and delivered on the promise of an outstanding experience. The mid-Cape location is perfect for a broad and convenient Cape Cod experience. The property was safe and fit like a glove. The kitchen, dining and living room space was perfect for the gathering of our family. The kitchen was fully functional and easy to entertain. The WIFI was strong, but more importantly, the front porch was a place of rest and peace. The bed rooms featured a large master and memory foam beds of good sleeping comfort. The property was clean, convenient and felt like home. The Berry's wrote and called to support our needs. We had no logistical issues to find, enter and live during our stay. We left personal comments in the Berry's memory book, but we are thankful to the Berry's for an excellent hosting experience. Best, Jack Field"

  • Convenient and Cozy on the Bike trail

"This a great cottage with two bedrooms and situated in the woods. Adjacent to the bike trail between Coast Guard Beach and Marconi. We loved sitting on the deck in the morning watching the wild turkeys. Quiet neighborhood. The cottage itself is roomy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well stocked and appliances are easy to use. Very clean."
