  • Good property and location

"We've stayed at this hours for a number of years. It fits our family of well and has very quick access to the beach. There is internet and tv (although you'll be out in Eastham and surrounding towns) along with all the basics you might need to make a meal. The house also comes with a fairly large backyard space that the kids love playing in."

  • Perfect cottage

"We stayed at the cottage for over a week and enjoyed every minute of it. There are tons of seating options: coffee in the adirondack chairs on the front deck in the morning sun, comfy chairs and couches inside to watch a movie, lounging in the sun or shade outside, and snoozing on the hammock after lunch on the backyard deck. The entire cottage is flooded with light thanks to the many skylights. The open plan layout is perfect for being together with your family while giving each person enough space to do her own thing. We also really appreciated having the extra half-bath and the outdoor shower, especially after a beach outing. The best part of the cottage is the peace and tranquility of the location. Everyday, we took advantage of the nearby association beach, where we had morning coffee, watched the sunset with a glass of wine, and gazed at the stars at night."

  • Affordable, pet friendly, centrally located

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Eastham. This rental was more than sufficient for a couple traveling with 2 Chihuahuas. We really only used the master bedroom, but the second bedroom is on the opposite end of the house with an ensuite bathroom. Unfortunately, the bathroom nearer to the master bedroom has not been updated in some time (it has a quirky old time aesthetic but the sink barely let out enough water to wash your hands). The second bathroom was recently updated, but less convenient to access from the living and master bedroom area. The house is adequately furnished, nothing fancy, a little worn. A couple of the dressers appeared to be well kept mid-century pieces. Limited cable TV. Bring your own DVDs if you want to watch TV. Bring your own games too. The house is well stocked with towels and linens. Access to laundry was helpful. Kitchen is stocked with the bare basics. We were fine cooking for two but I imagine if you are cooking and serving meals to a larger group you might find the kitchen supplies to be limited. As others have mentioned, the bed in the master bedroom is less than comfortable. It's squeaky and the plastic mattress cover is annoying. A portable air conditioner is provided for the master -- it is not powerful enough to cool the whole house. The owner provides a single key to the front door. It would have been nice to have a key to the garage door too, as this would have made moving groceries etc from the car to the kitchen easier. Ant traps galore!! I suppose this was good because we didn't see many ants indoors. However, given that we had 2 small dogs with us, we were cautious about the dogs finding the traps and eating them. We greatly enjoyed the location. One can easily access the Cape Cod Rail Trail and businesses in Eastham. Get your bikes at Little Capistrano bike rental. Be sure to check out the bay and ocean beaches. Ponds are nearby too. 4/5 - stars. The house is generally more utilitarian than attractive. It's the no-frills nature of the rental that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. The owners could easily turn this into a 5 star rental by servicing one of the bathrooms, replacing some of the living room furniture, perhaps getting another window A/C unit, perhaps putting in a fire pit or making the outdoor spaces more usable. Also, the kitchen supplies are definitely limited if you have a larger group. Appreciated that the house was stocked with paper towels and TP."

  • Great Cape Cod Cottage!

"We stayed here for a week in August and we had a great time. As promised, the cottage is just steps away from the beach. This was our first time in Cape Cod, so it was great that everything worked out well, so much so that we intend on coming back next year. The house is thoughtfully stocked, there is a hammock in the backyard along with a BBQ station and beach chairs that you can take to the beach,. The backyard is quite big, our kids enjoyed running around and swinging in the hammock. Ryan was very helpful and gave us tips on how to spend our week in cape cod. Nearby is the Nickerson state park, there are hiking trails and tours that you can take. There are plenty of seafood restaurants nearby, the arnold's lobster and clam bar was a popular destination for us. We also took day trips to Provincetown and nearby places, so the cottage was very conveniently located for us. All in all, 5 stars, and we intend on coming back next year."
