"What a fabulous house! It's on a quiet street south of Rt. 28, the first street past the Chatham border, so it's easy to get too. The house is quite roomy, a big living room, a den, dining room, good kitchen, very nice family room with lots of nautical charm, 2 bedrooms upstairs in the original part of the house, and two bedrooms over the garage. Plus the den can be used as a bedroom because there is a comfortable pullout couch. Great small grill in the back. Best part of the house for me was it's location. It's about a mile to a wonderful Nantucket Sound beach, Red River Beach. You can walk or ride a bike (about 1/10 of a mile is on Rt. 28). Or you could drive about 10-12 minutes to get to some fresh water ponds (Seymour or Long Pond, both of which are partially in Harwich). Or you could drive about 15 minutes to a spectacular ocean beach in Orleans, Nauset Beach. It was all so easy! About 1/2 mile from the house is an entrance to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, in fact I used it to ride to Nauset Beach. As to shopping, downtown Harwichport is a 5 minute drive, and charming downtown Chatham is a 10 minute drive. Then there's a big Stop & Shop on Rt 137, a 7 to 10 minute drive. The house is just centrally located for so many activities. Almost forgot, there are two great ice cream parlors in Harwich no more than 5 to 7 minutes away: The School House (my favorite) and Sundae School. This house was a great find!"

  • Awesome!

"Wonderful setting with fire pit, outdoor dining, lawn for games and beach supplies available. The house is beautifully decorated and comfortable to stay. Parking was not an issue and of course the beach goes without saying! Jeannie is a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and our stay was amazing."

  • Awesome house for our family

"We spent two wonderful weeks at the Moonlight Cottage with our four kids aged 2-8. The house had everything we would ever dream of needing including games and DVDs for the kids and a fully stocked kitchen and backyard for the adults. I particularly liked having linens provided as that was one last thing I had to pack for the 5 beds we used. The house is in a great location central to everything. We can't wait to return."
