  • Fabulous rental, perfect location

"What a vacation! The house is perfect, pictures don't really do it justice. Plenty of space, tons of outdoor living area as well. We stayed a week, 2 teens, and the inlaws. Plenty of room, and privacy in the house. Walk to Merkel Beach, and short drives to other beaches. Harwich Port was a great location, and the downtown is quaint, fun shopping and restaurants. The owners live behind the house, they are there if you need them, and graciously took us clamming and crabbing one morning. We all LOVED that, and then invited us over for cocktails and steamed clams and crab dip that evening. The house is well stocked! Plenty of kitchen items, dishes, utensils. There are some games, puzzles, skim board and boogie board were there. Even beach chairs, though we had our own. There's a clothes line out back near the fabulous outdoor shower. I think if you rent here you will be pleased. No negatives. Well, we should have stayed a month:)"

  • The location can't be beat! A great home!

"This home and location have so, so much to offer - it is spacious and clean with 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths plus outdoor shower. It has a patio and large yard. The screened/windowed sunporch was our favorite room for meals where we experienced the ocean breezes. We loved the small beaches, especially the one that is private - part of the Saquatucket Bluffs exclusive area, both a very short walk from the home. We rented for 7 days starting July 23 rd, 2016. We hope we can return some day."

  • Quintessential Beach House in a Perfect Location

"We loved our stay at this fantastic beach house in Harwich Port. The living space in the house is very airy and spacious; decor is minimalist and appropriate for a beach house; plenty of space to lounge and dine; covered deck is perfect; ocean breeze at all times; the beach is small and quiet and about 100 steps from the door. Bathrooms are tight but in the grand scheme of life, such a small detail. A great add would be enclosing the outdoor shower. The realtor was a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend."

  • Thankful Family Got-away for Thanksgiving!

"This home was just what we hoped for in so many ways. It had plenty of space. The rooms were beautiful--woodwork clean and beautifully finished, decorations light, tasteful. The beds comfortable. Nice to have a garage to drive the car into and unload/load. The bathrooms were adequate and clean. Great common areas. The location was great with only a short walk (good healthy walk) to Red River Beach--a beautiful place. We could easily drive to Chatham with its many shops and attractions, Eastham for genealogical research, movies at the Regal Cinema in Hyannis, Bourne for a visit to a loved one's grave site at the National Cemetery and all the way up to Provincetown. Harwich had many restaurants, a great coffee shop and bakery or 2, gas stations... A large Star Market supermarket was only an 8 minute drive away. We played games (some were available, but you should bring some of your own too), watched TV--appreciating the expansive menu of channels which all had great reception, read, rested and cooked. We were five (mom, dad, 3 sons--21, 18 and 14) and felt really blessed to be there. The owner, Nancy was kindhearted, accommodating, and softspoken. I would encourage visitors to bring linens (including towels, hand towels and face cloths) as they are not provided and it wasn't evident on the description--when you reserve and pay there is a notice that the nice wood (or pellet?) stove pictured not for guest use, but nothing about linens (or we missed it). Luckily owner was very gracious and allowed us to use her linens. The house has many heating zones so it took a little while to get the heat up and just right (if you are a winter traveler to these parts) when we arrived. The owner walked us through things when we arrived later than we thought, with texting, which was really nice. The kitchen is quite small, but adequate. The stove, microwave, and dishwasher (which we couldn't get to work) are older and may need updating soon (the owners are making a lot of nice changes). There were a few times when we needed more light in the bedrooms and living room to see with, but we moved lamps around and it was fine. The washer was digital (we wanted spin only) but no option to do that so we had to do another cycle which took time. Dryer seemed slow to dry. These are minor inconveniences compared to the overall wonderful place Nancy and her husband have provided for guests and we certainly would recommend this place. Maybe call it: Deluxe Cape Centrally Located"
