  • Gorgeous, warm and inviting!

"We came to Nantucket for my cousin's wedding. We had family coming from all over - California, Massachusetts and Florida. We had the best time whether it was exploring the island, enjoying wedding festivities or just hanging at "home". We cooked often, listened to music, played games (all were there at the house) and enjoyed the beauty surrounding us every day - morning and evening! The house itself is spacious, modern (listened to our music on our phones via bluetooth on the surround sound), warm and inviting. Great for entertaining too. We had the future in-laws over for drinks and apps. one night. You will love the atmosphere and the feeling you get the minute you walk in! The property listing itself was accurate. The property is well taken care of and clean. We had a caretaker available for any questions during our stay and even a housecleaner (for an extra fee) if needed. The owner was good at responding to my questions, during the booking process. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. Even though we ate in often, we did eat out as well. Here are some of the places: -Slip 14 Restaurant and Bar - excellent. Rehearsal dinner -Fifty Six Union - excellent. We had brunch. -Island Coffee Roaster - great coffee, breakfast sandwich for a quick breakfast. -Easy Street Cantina - just ok. I wouldn't go again with so many other great options. Sorry Easy Street! -Sankaty Beach Club - parked there and walked right down to the beach. Great beach. We also played tennis. We were guests of members, but there was nobody there - off season. Sankaty Golf Club - beautiful. Wedding was held there, husband played golf too. Whaling Museum - great museum Drove to Great Point Lighthouse - wonderful! We drove onto the beach too. That's an extra fee and vehicles need to have a beach permit, which we got when we rented our jeep. If you stay here you will not regret it!"

  • Honeymoon Bliss

"My Husband and I spent a week of our honeymoon at this lovely cottage. We loved the location of this house, it was close to town and to the beach but very private and quiet. There is access to stairs that go down to the beach just one street over and because parking isn't permitted on that road there was hardly anyone at the beach. Swimming was fantastic, warm water and gentle waves. We loved watching the sunsets every night from the widow's walk while enjoying a glass of wine and some appy's. The view from the widow's walk is spectacular, one of the best things about this property. The cottage was really clean and everything was in well working order. We loved the historic feel of the home including the clawfoot tub upstairs and all the cool artwork and furniture throughout the house. The kitchen table was great for working on puzzles on cloudy days, the chairs were so comfy and unique. We also appreciated the abundance of towels, the awesome outdoor shower, and the backyard, and bikes. Steve was easy to correspond with and our deposit was returned shortly after our departure. We can't wait to return to this lovely cottage!"

  • Made our first trip to Nantucket spectacular!!!

"This was our first trip to Nantucket and we are soooo happy that we chose to stay at Tucked Away! The owners are very nice, responsive, and easy to work with. The house was spectacular and VERY clean and spacious. They provided all of the essentials...an abundance of towels, beach towels, and blankets. The kitchen had everthying we needed and more. There were lots of fun board games for the kids and dvds to choose from. The outdoor building with beach chairs, cooler, and sand toys were a great bonus along with the outdoor shower. The kids loved every inch of this house and it was so nicely decorated with a nice Nantucket beachy theme. The deck was nice and spacious and we ate many meals out there. We also received a very thoughtful, fun welcome gift on the kitchen counter! :) Madaket Beach is right down the road and the sunsets there are spectacular. We also enjoyed eating dinner and ice cream at Millie's which is right down the road too. The bike trail is at the end of the street and was very enjoyable! We would absolutely stay here again! You won't regret booking this house!"
