  • Wonderful cabin feel, quiet and surrounded by nature

"Our stay was very pleasant. The cabin is comfortable and very cute. I would say the bathroom is not very comfortable for tall people. It's an old cabin and everything in the bathroom is smaller than modern bathrooms. We stayed in cabin #2 and we could see a bit of the lake from our living room. The walk to the beach is only a few steps and the beach is very private. I would say, if you're looking for the old style cabin feel, this is the perfect place. It's surrounded by nature and very quiet. Suzanne, the owner, was super helpful at all times. We definitely go back!"

  • The beginning of a family tradition.....

"We had an amazing time! The house is warm and inviting yet spacious enough to accommodate our growing family. We spent relaxing days playing games, watching movies, napping, eating and celebrating the New Year. We found the house adequately supplied with everything: from utensils, cookware, blankets, towels, pillows, games...etc. - Erin has done an amazing job creating a place for a truly stress-free vacation! P.S. The Hubbard Lake sunrises were magnificent!"

  • Breathtaking views, adorable cottage

"Overall we really enjoyed our four day stay in the guest house on this property. The beach was beautiful and the cottage was adorable. Our family of 5 fit very comfortably in it. It had everything you could possibly need for the weekend. The only thing I would say is the main picture of the table over looking the water is slightly misleading. That deck technically belongs to the main house on the property. We got lucky and no one was using the main house during our stay so we were able to use the deck that over looks the water. The deck that is attached to the smaller guest house does not have a view of the lake. Also, the beach area would be shared with whomever was staying in the larger home I would assume. The beach is pretty big so there would be enough room for two families but I just wanted to add that to the review in case someone was looking for more privacy. Like I said, we go lucky and had this beautiful place to ourselves!"

  • A Month at Brownlee Cottage.

"Everything about our vacation at Brownlee Cottage was special. From the moment we entered the Cottage the mood was set: it was perfect. The thoughtful décor is "Up North". The lake is steps away and the windows are wide and the views are stellar. The furnishings are plentiful and comfortable. Where you need a cozy chair... there it is. There is a wonderful little sun room facing the lake where we sat each morning with our coffee. There is a quiet road which runs along the lake in front of the house to take your morning walk. The little village of Lincoln is two minutes away and has everything you need: grocery, gas, restaurant, P.O., Laundromat. Being there for four weeks we did a fair amount of cooking. This kitchen is equipped with everything you will need and even better easy to find. Every place you might like to go is easy to access...Travers City, Petoskey, Mac City and/or the Island... easy to go, enjoy, return all in a day. We relaxed and stayed "home" a lot but we were on the go too. This is a very high recommend on our behalf for an Up North stay."
