  • Nice cottage

"My family enjoyed our stay at the cottage and Higgins lake. Cottage is rustic, but clean, fully furnished, and location is great. The beach area is shallow and nice for kids; fire pit and free wood was awesome; large lot across the street. Plenty of things to do around the area...hiking, fishing, golfing, canoeing and tubing along the Au Sable , boat rentals,...or just read a book on the dock. Some nice restaurants in Roscommon village. There is a "small" street between the cottage and the lake...but it's just a typical subdivision street...not busy, with people walking their dogs and driving their golf carts...there is very light car traffic...it was not a problem for us. Would consider staying there again!"

  • Sensational getaway!

"My husband and our three adults sons, daughter in law and granddaughter spent four days at this lovely cabin. The cabin itself is incredibly nice, kitchen was well stocked, living room was a good size, and back deck was spacious. The baby enjoyed the sandy beach and water. The pontoon was wonderful, spent a considerable amount of time on the lake and we caught a few fish. Went to Tawas to tour the lighthouse which was very fun. The lake was absolutely gorgeous at night with the reflection of the surrounding homes lighting! The area was very quiet and the few neighbors we met were very friendly. It was nice to vacation with our dog and one son brought his dog as well. Biggest mistake I made was not booking more than four days here!!!! All of my conversations were with Melody and she was fantastic to deal with. Simply put, we fell in love with this lake and area. Our group agreed, one of the best vacations we have enjoyed together! Would definitely recommend and rebook at this cabin. Thanks so much Melody!"

  • 4 Generation vacation

"Just got back from a week up at this cottage. Beautiful place. Location is perfect and the beach is out of this world. Pure sandy beach for a week, very hard to take. The grandkids loved playing out there even though temperatures were less than desirable for swimming. Flew kites as there were a few windy days, to be expected. Everything was clean, and more than we expected for supplies. The only downfall, no washer and dryer. Would definitely rent again from them. Excellent communication between me and the owner. Can't say enough good things about this cottage. Pictures do not do this one justice. Happy travels."

  • Wonderful!

"We stayed at the lodge for three nights in early June 2016. We had eleven adults and one toddler. There was plenty of room for everyone. Gary, the caretaker, gave us a fabulous orientation. We were extremely impressed with how beautiful the lodge was. We had our own private lake which we thoroughly enjoyed - kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. We are all nature lovers and were thrilled to see two eagles, a loon, deer, among other animals. There is ample space between the lodge and the lake to play frisbee, and catch. Nice setting for our campfire. We went on some beautiful hikes (be sure to bring plenty of insect repellant - especially if you are concerned about ticks). We had a great time and have already scheduled a return trip for next year!"
