  • Great area, lovely cabin

"We were delighted to find this gem so close to great Mt biking, canoeing, trail running on North Country Trail. We each had a comfortable room, and kids enjoyed having direct TV access. Traks was a good meal near by, and locals were helpful to give us tips like Tippy Dam. Can't wait to return for XC skiing!"

  • Simply the Best!

"My family rented the main house and guest house for 8 adults, 2 toddlers and a baby. The guest house was perfect for isolating the baby for naps and frequent feedings. My family and I all agreed it was the best family vacation ever and this property was absolutely perfect for us. It is well appointed and maintained. The owner called to make sure everything was good with us. The neighbors were all wonderful too, which is not always the case with rental properties. We had a family reunion on one of the days and there was plenty of room for everyone and the lakefront yard is big enough for a lot of activity. The firepit was in use most nights and being right next to the lake made for spectacular sunsets and star-gazing. The cottage itself puts you in the "lake vacation" mood as soon as you walk in, the decor is very nice and the rooms were all well appointed. I just cannot say enough great things about this property and the owner, top shelf all the way. I highly recommend this property and will be renting it again myself."

  • Fantastic Getaway on Upper Herring Lake

"I gave this rental my highest rating because it deserves it. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay complete and enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a wonderful basket and personalized note. The house was amazingly clean and completely outfitted with everything that you would need to make your stay perfect. We had great evenings on the porch watching the sunset as well as roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Although we did not use the canoes or kayaks, they were readily available and in good shape. Our dog was in heaven with the surrounding property and the creek. We walked the trails and listened to the crickets at night. I would not suggest this place for anyone with physical disabilities only because there are stairs that must be used to gain access to the main living room. I am not sure about families with very young children.. I guess if you were to watch them at all times that would be okay but the porch which surrounds 3/4 of the house is not very kid friendly. The house was neat, extremely clean and very comfortable. We will be returning next year for sure. Thank you Chris and Annabelle!"

  • Great Vacation rental

"I can't believe I'm the first review for this vacation home. Totally recommend it! It's clean, very comfortable and has a homey feel to it. Very nicely decorated. We had a full house with 8 people and it didn't feel crowded. Beautiful Elberta/Frankfort area, close to dining - two nice restaurants within walking distance. Close to park with playground and the Elberta beach. Only negative is that it doesn't have AC and someone with disabilities or elderly may have a difficult time with the high back step and shower but I still have to give it 5 stars."
