  • Great property, wonderful, extremely helpful owners

"Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your home! Great view of the water and a cozy, comfortable home. Fully stocked, well equipped, we wanted for nothing. Fantastic location! Intimidating driveway, but ample street parking and we got our exercise in to boot! Would definitely consider another stay."

  • Wow!

"We spent the last weekend of vacation in this lakefront cottage with our friends. We had an amazing time. The house is comfy, and well furnished with everything you can potentially need. It was a nice surprise that the owners thought of leaving even a flashlight to the guests to get to the bonfire more easily. The house is close to everything, but in secluded very private place. The view of the Lake Michigan from the deck of the house is just spectacular. The owners are super nice, very communicative and helpful. We had such a great vacation. I highly recommend this place for everybody, and I’m sure you will love it."

  • Great Place on the Lake

"The most startling (in a good way) thing when we first arrived was to see how awesome the sunset looked over the lake. It's hard to tell on the map, but this really is right on Lake Michigan, just at the top of a hill. The place is big -- we had 11 people and everyone slept comfortably (though we maxed it out). This would be a great rental for two or three close families to share on a vacation, as an example. Most of all, the owners were great to deal with. They had everything setup for us to easily get in and out. We kept things quiet and clean and had a good time!"

  • Quiet, Gorgeous View of White Lake

"We loved the view of the lake from both inside the home and outside on the front porch. It was great to have use of the canoes, a ladder to climb down into the lake, and the dock to sit on to read or to talk to those floating in the water. We enjoyed using the fire pit, the picnic tables, and lawn chairs out by the lake. The bike path right across the street was definitely a plus for those wanting to run or ride bikes. We enjoyed exploring the towns of Whitehall, Montague, and even Grand Haven down the road a bit. Our adult children especially liked the Book Nook and Java Shop in Montague. One day we took a road trip up to Sleeping Bear Dunes, which was a long drive but fun for those who enjoy climbing the dunes. The pier near the Whitehall Light House Museum was fun for those who enjoy jumping, flipping, and diving into the water. We loved the beaches on Lake Michigan. The two things we had to be flexible with were the bathrooms and the bunk beds. The only stand-up shower is in the bathroom off of the master bedroom, so we had to take shifts showering. Also the 2 bunk beds were not ideal for adults, but would be fine for children. The bunk beds were not the most comfortable and were squeaky. We had a one year old with us, though, and really appreciated that there was a gate for the stairs and a high chair type of seat provided. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the basement to use. The kitchen was beautiful, the seating at the table was nice, and the family room in the basement was great. There was a nice variety of games provided also for those rainy days. It was a nice place to stay."
