  • Great stay!

"We rented this place for a stop along our motorcycle trip. The owner was very accommodating and promptly answered any questions we had. The place exceeded our expectations! Very unique style to the house. Upper and lower levels are nicely done along with the great balcony, fire pit, and awesome views. It is secluded from neighbors/traffic. A tarp was even left for our motorcycles, cold beer in the fridge, fresh coffee, and made it very easy to start the fireplace. This is a great place to stay and we will stay here again if we are in the area. I am not one really to write reviews, but the owner went above and beyond to make our trip more comfortable. Can't thank you enough!"

  • Better than a hotel

"We stayed at a hotel in the area prior to staying here, and we immediately wished we would have stayed here the whole time. This place has everything you need! After spending a ton of money on Ubers/taxis during the first part of our trip while in a hotel, we really appreciated the walking distance route to the light rail, which we took to go to the Monday night Vikings game without any issues and hardly any cost at all. We also walked to the YWCA gym, which is only 0.5 miles from the home and a super nice gym. Don't get a hotel -- stay here! :)"

  • Quiet and restful week at the lake house

"Steve met us at the house and showed us around; we rented the canoe and paddle boards, so he had these out and ready for us. The entire week was a treat! With Lunds/Byerly's close by, we were able to stock the fridge and eat well in that great little kitchen. The deck out back has two very nice lounge chairs for enjoying the breezes off the lake and the view of the water. We spent time out on the water to enjoy the lovely Minnesota October days. We also went into Wayzata, Excelsior, and took bikes out on the trails. Good restaurants nearby (Dakota Station was very good with their farm-to-table options), good access to Minneapolis, too. I agree that a king bed upstairs would be a terrific addition to the house, but we slept well and stayed warm. Wifi was fast, TV was fun since we don't keep up with cable at home. Recently renovated, the house is cute, cozy and perfect for a small family, especially one with teenagers. Steve and Sam were courteous and helpful with our questions. Sam even went out and purchased a tire pump to keep at the house so we'd have one in case of tire trouble. Highly recommended for a true Minnesota experience. We topped off the week with a weekend stay at Radisson Blu which is attached to the Mall of America. It was very nearly a perfect trip. Thank you Steve and Sam!"

  • Comfortable house with ample room for large groups, well stocked kitchen, sunset view over lake,

"My three siblings and I, our spouses and kids, and our parents gathered here to celebrate our parents' 70th birthdays. We had 10 adults, two toddlers, 3 babies, and a small dog, and did not feel crowded. There was enough room to gather for big family meals and there were enough different spaces to spread out for separate activities. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of knives, appliances, pots and dishes. The lake access includes a small sandy beach which was great for the toddlers. The path to the lake is a bit steep--not accessible for all, but the large deck and large windows of the living room offer expansive views to the lake--and we were lucky to have a stunning sunset during our stay. The master bedroom is large and easily fit two travel cribs with room to spare. The other rooms were a little tight with the travel cribs, but it worked fine. The large dining table had room for us all, for meals and games, and was the center of our family gathering. Pine City was close enough to the Twin Cities to make an easy trip but far enough to feel like you were away. We would definitely return! A side note: our toddler woke with a croupy cough one morning and we took him to the Pine City urgent care clinic. It was close and convenient and we received excellent care."
