  • Relaxing & refreshing

"After selling, packing and moving, we found this cabin provided the much-needed respite we were looking for. Ross & Linda have furnished this adorable garage-turned-cabin with everything necessary for our week's vacation. They even provided dock space for our fishing boat, and we thoroughly enjoyed fishing and touring Clearwater Lake. To top if off, they took us on a pontoon ride, showed us great fishing spots and Ross regaled us with stories of the lake. They shared the bounty from their garden, and were incredibly hospitable. Great location, nearby towns for groceries, shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, etc."

  • Neat, clean, and well located

"This house was exactly what we needed for a weekend with friends. Five of us stayed in the house (5 bedrooms) and it worked out great. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had basic cooking utensils, there were plenty of glasses, china, and silverware, and there were lots of towels. The living room and dining area with the open kitchen proved to be perfect gathering spots, and the good news was that the conversation from downstairs didn't travel upstairs to bother those who were still sleeping. There isn't really much of a yard, so if you're planning to hang out outside, this isn't the house for you. The location of the house is great. It was easy to get onto highways and around the city. Better still, there is a nice shopping area with a grocery store, liquor store, etc. just two blocks away. Also, there is a public bike sharing station two blocks away and this proved invaluable. We rode bikes as much as we drove! The river and associated walking/biking paths are also just a few blocks away, for those who like to get outside to exercise. Angie was very helpful answering questions, too. We all agreed that we would definitely stay at this house again."

  • A wonderful weekend!

"We stayed at the Brownstone Condo for a three day weekend with friends and it was great! The condo is clean and comfortable and the woodwork and leaded glass add great character to the space. Salle was super responsive...when the coffee maker wasn't working we let her know later in the day and she brought a new one over the next morning! We found so many things to do within walking distance...May Day Cafe, Powderhorn Park, Midtown Global Market, the Midtown Greenway, the Tiny Cafe, the Midtown Farmer's Market, Ingebretsen's, Maria's Cafe...a great condo in a fun and funky neighborhood!"

  • Perfectly lovely

"This property was even more lovely than the photos of it. The apartment was clean, cool, neat and well appointed. We especially loved the deck/pergola space that looked out onto the beautiful yard. It was very quiet and private and peaceful even in an area with so much going on! Lois couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating. She let us store our bikes in her locked shed. Parking worked best for us on the street and was mostly easy. We walked to eateries, coffee shops, exercise in the park, yoga studios, Grand Ave. and grocery. We biked the bike lanes and greenway out to Lake of the Isles area. It was a short walk to James J. Hill house, St. Paul cathedral, MN History Center, and the 21 bus (1 block walk to bus stop) got us downtown for Farmers Market, CHS stadium for a Saints game, and Music on Mears. The light rail to Minneapolis is only 6 blocks away. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6-week stay and would definitely recommend (have recommended!) this lovely spot to friends. Thank you Lois!!"
