  • When you need to get away

"We had a great time on Seagull Lake! The cabin is cute and cozy and very comfortable for our family. The area is beautiful! We mostly canoed around the lake and had luck catching bass, pike, and even found a secret walleye spot not far from the cabin. We also canoed down to the west part of the lake and portaged to Paulson Lake-a VERY rough (but beautiful) portage and worth the work to get there! Everything was better than described and we couldn't have chosen a better place for our vacation. Thank you!"

  • Loved our visit to Casa Whimsey

"Although we never had the chance to meet Liz or John, we felt like we were staying at a friend's house. They had left an anniversary card and some treats that were thoroughly enjoyed. The colors brightened up the rainy days and it was so cozy that I sort of wished it were snowing! The cottage is clean and well maintained with most of the comforts of home. We usually stay on the lake when we're on the north shore but the view of the woods was lovely and I didn't feel like we were missing out. I hope to return soon!"

  • Fabulous view, very cozy, close to restaurants.

"January 30: Fabulous view, very cozy, rustic feel, close to restaurants, quiet and private. Loved the duck and goose-- buddies that inhabit the beach together. Lovely hearing the surf and watching the waves and sky. Bed very comfy. No TV (thumbs up) -- please never put one in. Great for reading, meditating, beach walking."

  • Comfortable Stay

"We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights and enjoyed our time. We had easy access to many grouse hunting locations. We brought fishing poles with but didn't get a chance as the ice was already on the lake by shore. The cabin was clean and welcoming. Just to note, this cabin is in a community of 5 cabins-so if you are looking to get away and piece and quiet, you will have neighbors. There is a view from the main bedroom and the living room sliding doors of the lake; you aren't right on the lake but you are very close. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, the bedrooms are not enclosed-ie there is a gap between the wall and the ceiling (to allow for heat circulation I imagine). We felt some hooks could be added to the bedroom walls for hanging up clothing, a deck of cards should be added and maybe some other games would be a nice addition to the cabin. There was a puzzle (and an older chess set) but the lighting created too much of a glare to complete it."
