  • Fantastic!!!

"What a gorgeous, fabulously located cabin perched atop the cliff's edge with expansive views of Lake Superior right out the back windows, to include the master bedroom. We loved the convenient heat provided by the geothermal heat system and the kind of cozy, romantic, warming fire that can only be provided by a wood stove. The kitchen was stocked with all the home appliances, dishes and pans one would need. Hiking trails can be found EVERYWHERE within five minutes of the cabin. Groomed cross country ski trails are within a 10 minute drive from the cabin. Clearly, we loved our stay at the Palisade Cabin along Superior's North Shore."

  • Great place to spend a weekend

"Amazing setup. Our group couldn't believe our eyes when we pulled into the driveway and took a look at the cabin in person. Gorgeous! After stepping inside to settle in, we continued to be pleasantly surprised by the property. I'd definitely stay at this cabin again. The only downside to the property is the distance that you have to carry all of your belongings from the car to the cabin."

  • PERFECT PLACE WITH PERFECT OWNERS

"Me and my wife (8 months pregnant) took our 3 year old son up north last weekend and stayed in the greatest place we could have asked for. Jim and Jane the owners were AMAZING to work with. They were SO helpful with accommodating us for ALL of our needs. The cabin is a beautiful cabin on the lake. VERY clean and has everything you could possibly need. The beds were VERY comfortable (even for a women who is 8 months pregnant). The bonfire pit was spectacular (LOVED sitting by the fire at night and looking at all the stars). They have a great dock for kids (wide, long, and has a nice bench at the end to enjoy the beautiful view and fish with the kids). One thing we really liked is how secluded it is. There are some cabins around but nothing that makes it feel like your at a highly populated lake AT ALL. Matter of fact, there are NO cabins across the lake so when it gets dark out at nigh it is completely blacked out which make the star gazing even more beautiful (we missed northern lights by 2 days). The location of the lake is fantastic. Away from Grand Marais by 10 mins (not bad at all), but close to everything you want as far as hiking, biking, waterfalls, sight seeing, and my favorite...... trout streams. Jane was out of town during our stay (but was VERY helpful in the arrangements and accommodations). Jim couldn't have been any more nice and helpful with anything we had questions about, or just random needs. These folks are the ones you want to have as your neighbors anywhere you live. And as a matter fact because Jim was not available one of the days we met another gentleman by the name Jack who lives a few properties down and he also was extremely nice and helpful. Don't let me make you think that people are around while you're trying to enjoy your peaceful stay and personal family time because they ARE NOT!! They are just there to help if you have any questions (or in my case, needed a funnel to refill my boat with gas). 100% going back next year with our new baby girl!! Thank you again Jane....... Jim... and neighbor Jack!!!"

  • Great spot. Lots of room!

"We rented this space for a girls weekend and it worked out great. We had lots for room and space for everyone. I would highly recommend it. It was nice to have all the bedrooms and bathrooms. We even had 3 massage therapists come in and we had plenty of space."
