  • It was just as it was described - beatuiful, clean and we're coming back in October.

"Our friends from overseas had a lovely time and enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on the Pike Lake. It was close to town and we enjoyed our time tremendously. It was very relaxing. I would highly recommend this very nice cabin. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating."

  • Lovely Home

"I missed this place from the day we were packing to leave. I would definitely choose this place again, it had everything you need, with a spectacular view of the lake and night sky right off the deck (we even got to see the Northern Lights!) We had 6 families, and 2 single people. It was just enough room for all of us. There were many board games and fun activities for the kids to play also. I love the island stove in the kitchen for us to cook on. There is a big screen room for our family to have our dinner in and also a nice screen tv for me to watch lifetime channels on one chilly night. :)"

  • Best of both worlds

"The Devil Track Lake property offers the best of both worlds - fronting on an inland lake with all of its possibilities but only minutes from Grand Marais and Lake Superior. The house is very well equipped so you really only need to bring the food you're going to eat. Everything else - towels, linens, dishes, sundries, and more - is there for you to use. The house, while not luxurious, is clean and well maintained. It is nice and private except for what appears to be the caretaker's bungalow a few hundred feet up the driveway . Lake access was great, with a nice sized dock and several kayaks and a canoe provided. The bedrooms are all quite different from one another but all are comfortable. The downstairs bedroom does lack any furniture or shelves for storage, just a small closet, but it does have the advantage of direct access to the jacuzzi and full bathroom. The rental cost is somewhat high compared to other properties in the North Shore area but it's understandable considering the lake frontage and proximity to GM. All in all a great place for a family getwaway."

  • A peaceful getaway!

"We were looking for a quiet little spot on water to celebrate our anniversary and we found it. If you are looking for a quiet, cozy, rustic and relaxing getaway with a great view on a little lake, this is perfect! My favorite part was the use of the mini pontoon (included with the reservation). The lake is small and very quiet. Lisa was wonderful to work with and quick to respond. Highly recommend for a cabin-on-a-lake getaway!"
