"We really loved this house. It was well decorated, had lots of room, super comfortable, well maintained, and felt like home- really the perfect beach house. The manager was very helpful and friendly. There were 8 of us (2 under the age of 5) and we all had plenty of room and didn't feel crowded. There was a good amount of seating if you feel like watching something on TV, however we did miss having a DVD player. Tons of silverware, paper products, cleaning products, and the washer and dryer upstairs by the bedrooms made it convenient for laundry to be done quickly.
We walked to Salute for lunch, (it was pretty good) and realized just how close the beach was. It was fairly chilly for the majority of the time we were there, so we weren't able to enjoy the beach.
I love how there are bikes in the back for our use as well- perfect for warmer weather!
We took one star off, because the train track is pretty close to the house. The trains shook the house and even the bed in our bedroom shook. I think it would have been less frustrating at night if we were either heavy sleepers, OR the train operator didn't sound the horn every few seconds. My brother's family didn't hear a thing, but my family woke with every passing. In the daytime, it's really not too bad, since everyone is awake anyway.
We went to Shaggy's- which was ok. Kind of reminded me of a southern-style Applebee's. I wouldn't go back, as I'm sure there are many small, local places that are better. The Shed is a fun spot to eat, and really yummy. Half Shell Oyster House in Biloxi is amazing. Blow Fly Inn had generous portions and was the crab cakes were delicious.
We went to the Jefferson Davis House and it was super interesting. The Discovery Kids Museum was fun for the younger kids.
I would definitely recommend the house if the train won't be a bother!"
