"This is the second year we have stayed with my family and my in-law’s family at this lake house. Altogether there are 13 of us (4 adults and 9 kids ranging from 1-15 years old). There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and room for 6+ in the bunkbeds in the downstairs, we all sleep comfortably and with 4 bathrooms (3 showers) you never have to wait in line!
The kitchen is awesome. Since we stay a week, we try and eat a lot of our meals in house. There is a large refrigerator to hold the food for our small army and the bar and dining room table have plenty of seating for all of us. With the fully stocked cabinets, we didn’t have to worry about bringing cups, plates, silverware, etc. No worry about wasting time washing all the dishes either. There’s a dishwasher. Pop them in and hit the beach!
There is something for everyone. Arcade games, 2 tvs with cable, wifi, hottub, pool table, board games/cards, beach, swimming, etc. With so much to do there isn’t a bad day. Great weather, we play outside. If not, we bring it in and have a blast. With all the room and plenty to do, we don’t trip over each other either. At least one time every stay, we will move the couch to the edges, hook up the disco light (it’s downstairs in the game cabinet), and have a dance party at night. The kids love it!
When it comes to location, this house couldn’t be better. It’s in a no wake cove so we can actually swim instead of other locations on the lake that are rough. It’s walking distance from Captain Ron’s Restaurant. There you can play sand volleyball, let the kids play on the playground, or enjoy the band on the weekends. Pirate’s point is a few blocks away. It has some great owners as well and we rent our wave runners and pontoons from them. Woods is one of the best grocery stores I have been in. It’s a couple miles away and is reasonably priced. Cannon Smoke BBQ is a must for us every trip. Great atmosphere and food.
All other things to do within a 30 minutes of here:
Camdenton/Ha Ha Tonka State Park – If you love nature, it’s a must see. If you don’t, just go! We hit it every year.
Bagnell Dam – Walk over the dam. Old time photos, arcade, craft and souvenir shops.
Osage beach - Outlet malls, Miner Mike’s, Go Karts, Mini golf, etc.
The best thing about our stay is the memories. The kids will talk about this place all the time. On the last day, it’s hard to leave because we just want to stay! That day, we are already looking forward to the next year."
