"All rated 10: parking, driveway & garage access / elevator / bedrooms / bathrooms / kitchens / family friendly gathering areas / pool & decks / owner responsiveness / cleanliness / dock Details: PARKING: As you drive by other homes on the way to Sue's house on a dead end street you will truly appreciate the level parking for 8 cars just at the top of the driveway. You won't kill your knees walking down the driveway and you can load & unload right at the garage or the front door. ELEVATOR: Our 92 year-old father was able to be where the grandkids and great-grandchildren were whether playing games or watching from the covered deck right at the pool. I would assume it doesn't "legally" qualify as handicapped-accessible but no other house I researched came anywhere close to the ease for Dad whether on his walker or in a wheelchair. BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS: We had 17 people sleep very comfortably in beds (no one had to sleep on the floor or on a sofa). Lovely walk-in showers. There is one bathtub that we shared for the kids - 2 months to two- and -three- year -olds. KITCHENS: All 30 of us ate dinner on the main level. The fabulous island not only held loads of waffles, eggs, and bacon but served as one of our game tables. There's an ICE MAKER on the lowest level by the bar. KID FRIENDLY: Lots of space for 5 little kids to play together and still have all their aunts, uncles, etc have room to spread out. Curious George played on at the "theater". POOL: VERY kid friendly. Easy access and pool not too deep to feel you couldn't be right by their sides. Yet long enough to do short laps. Lovely balconies to sit if you didn't want to be in the water. SUE the owner couldn't have been more responsive for any of our questions or needs. DOCK: LOTS of fish caught & released right off the dock. We docked the pontoon we rented one afternoon. We also had another home just in the next cove that we used when sharing the jet-skis. Our entire family heartily endorses this home. Easily agree with other reviews that might say, WE DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE!"

  • Greg K.

"We loved the place! Everything was as described and in great condition. The dock area was such a great space to relax and we really appreciated the many seating options. We only had 3 couples so plenty of room. We will definitely be back. Thank you!"

  • Great Family Gathering

"Great facility for large gathering. Particularly liked separate full bath for each bedroom and having large common area on each floor (allowed kids ad adults to have separate space to enjoy the vacation Game room was a big hit with all and internet access made it possible to keep in touch for those needing to do so. Boat rental was convenient."

  • The lakeside house was great.

"My children and grandchildren and I had a wonderful time at Sunrise Beach and the lake house was very comfortable and accommodating. I must mention that seating everyone around the dining room table was a squeeze but everyone made it work. The dock was the place where aIl my kids seem to gather for floating or fishing or taking a ride on the Seadoo, brought down by my daughter and son-in-law. I must admit not having the paddleboat available, mentioned in the early e-mails, was a disappointment for the kids, but understand there were circumstances beyond your control regarding this situation. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of enjoying your lake side home for the week."
