  • perfect cottage to relax in

"My husband and I loved this cottage. Its comfortable, and immaculately clean. We stayed 5 days here, and loved our breakfasts and dinners at home. The kitchen is well appointed (but do not expect to shop anywhere near this cabin - shop before you arrive, not even cream for coffee is sold nearby). The back patio is great - we saw lots of birds, including a hummingbird go by. The location of this cottage is less than a mile from Glacier Lodge, where we had drinks and enjoyed hanging out on their porch. We also found it near by Two Medicine, and not too far from Going to the Sun Road. Having laundry was much appreciated as well! Marty, the caretaker was helpful. We highly recommend this for a small family or friends. This is such a cozy retreat. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely home!"

  • Excellent choice for South East side of Glacier National Park

"Our family of 8 had a wonderful stay at the Lone Elk Lodge. Location: It is located just a few minutes from the East Glacier entrance to the park, but to reach the St Mary's entrance (which is where the Going to the Sun Road and most of the park sites/activities are) is a 45 minute drive. Lone Elk Lodge is a great choice if you want quality, comfort, and quiet, plus beautiful mountain views through the windows and off the deck. We appreciated that the Owner left us suggestions on places to eat, drink, and things to do in the area."

  • Relaxing Place

"We're wrapping up our weeklong reservation here tomorrow morning. We agree with the other reviews posted here. It is a wonderful place to stay. It couldn't feel more like home. Very clean, fully equipped and the perfect place to finish your day after visiting Glacier. You can find a place to eat or get groceries in Browning (12 miles away) and use the great grill on the back deck (which we opted for on 2 occasions). Marty is available (& helpful) if needed, but otherwise let's you do your own thing. Great place to stay!"

  • Best of the Best

"What a great house this is ! We loved our stay here because it was a very comfortable home with windows and decks to see the mountains as well as the wildlife. We found everything we needed in the kitchen as well as games, laundry and bear spray. The house is very clean and modern with great furniture, heat and everything you might need. Phil had good suggestions about places to eat and places to go see. Staying on this side of the Park was so much more enjoyable. You have easy access to the West Side of Glacier for day trips as well as less traffic and a more laid back atmosphere. I can't say enough good things about this house and the people who own it. I would love to go back and stay here longer. Annie B., Eastport, Maine"
