  • Lovely Cottage

"Kirby Cottage is a lovely cottage a few minutes walk from Woods Bay (part of Flathead Lake) The cottage was roomy for a one adult and five children household. The children enjoyed the outdoor area (badminton net & fire-pit) and we ate outside on the deck numerous times. The cottage was very functional and we enjoyed the great welcome basket. It is an older cottage but was kept cool by the ceiling fans and the breeze coming off the lake. You can see the beautiful lake from the front windows and see the sun setting over the water from the front porch. The community is quiet. There is some nightlife and dining, the Raven and the Sitting Duck, though we didn't go in, we noticed the signs for live music numerous nights and it seemed to be well attended. Flathead lake is a beautiful clean lake that is on the cooler side, it has rocky beaches so bring some water shoes if your soles are not used to it. There is a public water access right beside the Raven (two minute walk) that we used one day, though it is not necessarily a beach it allowed the kids to swim and use kayaks that we rented from the local store. There are numerous activities to participate in: hiking, water sports (rental store just a walk away), state parks, dining, boat tours to Wild Horse Island, shopping in Kalispell (40 min drive), and a water park in Columbia Falls (40 min drive). We really enjoyed it and it worked beautifully for our family and budget."

  • Cozy, Convenient & Comfortable

"We completely enjoyed our stay in this quiet condo. Very well appointed with all the things you need to make for a perfect week's stay. We felt incredibly welcomed the moment we entered, from a welcoming note, chocolate, local jam and cookies! We loved being able to walk to great food and local shops, or just to the bay. Highly recommend this location - easy to access fishing on Flathead Lake/River or any nearby lake, and an easy jaunt to Glacier National Park."

  • Spectacular location for a Family Reunion!

"The photos don't do this property justice, each of the cabins are so unique and well thought out, there was plenty of space for our group of 20. We had some initial concerns with the bathrooms being in the main cabin but it wasn't an issue at all. Doug (the homeowner) was very helpful and showed us around the property upon arrival. The kitchen was well appointed with slow cookers, baking pans, knives, spices, and basics (sugar, flour, paper products, etc). There were also plenty of things for the kids to do, fishing poles for the kids pond, yard games, toys and video tapes, no one was ever bored! With the river right out the door, a fire pit, plenty of spots to relax, the pool and foosball tables, croquet and volleyball, this place is like your own personal camp! We loved it and hope to return sometime. Thank you Doug and Linda for sharing your little slice of heaven in Montana!!"

  • Beautiful Big Fork

"The condo was so comfortable and well appointed. Very nicely decorated. I would definitely stay here again. I slept in the bedroom on the main floor and found the bed to be very comfortable. My favorite part was sitting on the balcony and listening to the river and watching the deer...it was so peaceful. Many of the restaurants were within walking distance. The restaurants in Bigfork and surrounding area are second to none. We enjoyed EVERY meal we had. Fantastic food! The town itself is very inviting and fun to stroll up and down and check out the unique shops. I would highly recommend staying at this condo. It has been well cared for."
