  • Kicking it by the golf course

"I went with two friends to spend a week at the Golf Terrace rental in Bigfork and we had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed the view of the golf course from the house while we were sitting around the BBQ with a glass of wine in the evenings. The home is fully furnished, well equipped and supplied right down to the firewood. Although it isn't included, we made a deal for a bottle of wine to use the owner's personal golf cart for a game and to cruise around the marina. The location is excellent for a vacation if you enjoy golf, boating & fishing on Flathead Lake or just spending time in Bigfork. There are several good restaurants in Bigfork; the Garden Bar was a big hit with us. We also took a road trip to the Glacier National Park and that was incredible, definitely worth the drive. This rental set up was a perfect fit for our group. It was nice to be treated like an adult and experience the excellent 24/7 customer service provided by Denise Grenier. The Wi-Fi, TV, BBQ and firewood was a nice bonus. I would recommend this property highly to others except for next year in mid-May when I want it again! Cheers, Greg"

  • Cozy, rustic cabin, great for resting up for your Montana adventures

"My husband and I stayed three nights in the Wildflower Cabin while adventuring around the Flathead Valley for a friend's wedding. I grew up in Bigfork on Echo Lake, and I was pleased with the location of this cabin. It's very close to downtown Bigfork (we had breakfast three times at Grateful Bread, and got awesome produce at Harvest Foods), and a nice drive to Lakeside, Kalispell, and Whitefish. We didn't find the windows or lack of A/C to be a problem; there are some nice fans in the cabin and you can easily prop the door open and leave the screen door closed at night to get more fresh air (though you get a bit more highway noise from that). Sitting outside the cabin at night was lovely, too. We enjoyed our stay here very much (Chad and Rhonda are very helpful and kind), but if you're a person who only stays in hotels, know that this might feel a bit more "rustic." Great value for the price!"

  • Very comfortable home with great location

"Swan Shores Lodge is a thoughtfully conceived and very well stocked vacation retreat (our French son-in-law was delighted to find and use a crepe maker in preparing breakfast one morning) whose location is ideal. Our family of ten appreciated the calm and beauty of Swan Lake and the views of the nearby Swan Range from the house's water-facing decks, as well as time spent with our grandchildren in the water and on the dock and grassy shoreline area. Rides in the kayaks were fun, and we all enjoyed being able to eat at outside tables large enough for our whole family. A treat at the end of the single rainy day of our week was the appearance over the lake of a brilliant, sustained rainbow that was the best any of us had ever seen. We had hoped to watch all three episodes of our set of Lord of the Rings in the home theater, which everyone agreed was awesome, but found time only for the first. Big Fork with its playhouse and Glacier Park were a short drive away, and an afternoon on Big Mountain at Whitefish was also an easy and enjoyable trip for our family. The house with equipment for almost any activity along with the wonders of the surrounding area provided many more vacation opportunities than we were able to take advantage of. If you can, plan to stay for two weeks."

  • Flathead Lake Stunner

"Just returned from a magical two weeks at Bert's lovely and extremely well equipped lakefront house in Bigfork. This location is incredibly convenient to everything one wants to experience in Glacier country( 40 min. from Glacier National Park, 20 min. from Kalispel, 30 min. from Polson, 45 min from Whitefish and about 40 min from the FBO at Glacier Jet Center ). The town of Bigfork is a 5 minute walk from the house and everything you need (food store, restaurants, shopping, trail rides, hiking the local trails(especially the Wild Mile in Bigfork along the Swan river) etc. is very convenient). Bert was incredibly responsive throughout the booking process and with respect to a few small problems we encountered when we arrived. The lake is magnificent and the house is perfectly positioned for the nightly sunset display. We used all three bedrooms and found the house very comfortable for all of us and our two Bouviers. We have rented throughout the West and we highly recommend this property and this owner."
