  • Very comfortable home with great location

"Swan Shores Lodge is a thoughtfully conceived and very well stocked vacation retreat (our French son-in-law was delighted to find and use a crepe maker in preparing breakfast one morning) whose location is ideal. Our family of ten appreciated the calm and beauty of Swan Lake and the views of the nearby Swan Range from the house's water-facing decks, as well as time spent with our grandchildren in the water and on the dock and grassy shoreline area. Rides in the kayaks were fun, and we all enjoyed being able to eat at outside tables large enough for our whole family. A treat at the end of the single rainy day of our week was the appearance over the lake of a brilliant, sustained rainbow that was the best any of us had ever seen. We had hoped to watch all three episodes of our set of Lord of the Rings in the home theater, which everyone agreed was awesome, but found time only for the first. Big Fork with its playhouse and Glacier Park were a short drive away, and an afternoon on Big Mountain at Whitefish was also an easy and enjoyable trip for our family. The house with equipment for almost any activity along with the wonders of the surrounding area provided many more vacation opportunities than we were able to take advantage of. If you can, plan to stay for two weeks."

  • Exceptional Home on the Swan River!

"My wife, myself and our yellow lab spent 8 perfect nights at this very special home. Bob and Jan were very gracious and wonderful hosts. The sound of the Swan River rushing by the home is soothing and helps eliminate the go go nature of our normal lives. The home is beautiful and updated, each room has a view of the river (except for one of the bedrooms). The home is convenient to so many attractions and yet is far enough out of town to feel like you are away from it all. A special treat was for deer to visit most evenings and one night we were treated to 2 Fawns right off of the deck; speaking of the deck , it wrapped around the back of the home, with awesome views. The home is very well set up for a great vacation experience."

  • Great Place to Stay!

"I only had 2 nights at this wonderful apartment which appears to be the whole lower level of the log home. Wonderful deck with chairs, lovely view of the lake, well equipped with everything you would need and much better than any hotel. The rental is off the road so you don't hear any noise at all and easy access to everything in Glacier National Park. I came specifically to hike a particular trail so it was a quick trip for me - looking forward to returning."

  • Fairly nice a place for a small family - a little bit costly though

"Good: 1. The place was nice for a 2+1 family. 2. Host - Mattie was really welcoming and helpful. 3. The place gave me a feeling of a country home - away from city hustle and bustles. Not So good: 1. not very spacious. It was just one bedroom, a small kitchen and a small bathroom. 2. The price is a bit high compared to what we generally get from VRBO or airbnb with around 150 per day. Bad: Nothing. I can not say anything bad about this place."
