  • Country Estate

"My husband and I recently rented this absolutely beautiful home for ourselves and four other couples for the week of our daughter's wedding. We cannot say enough good things about our experience. The common rooms were spacious and very tastefully decorated with every amenity from the fully equipped kitchen, the laundry facilities, the wonderful games room, beautiful fireplace inside and firepit outside, and the hot tub and lovely porch with an amazing view. The bedrooms were all very comfy, the bathrooms were all nicely appointed and there were plenty of towels and linens for all. We especially appreciated how easy the owners made the whole process. They were so accommodating and generous that we would certainly not hesitate to rent from them again should the occasion arise."

  • Amazing place to get stay for a weekend with the boys to go trail riding

"There is a group of us who go away every year to spend a long weekend away from our wives, away from our children, just a time to relax and to drag out or dirt bikes and ATV's to go riding as a group. This year we rented Paul's house on Forest Lake, and it was amazing. It was clean and well maintained, he had plenty of parking for snowmobile or bike trailers. He made sure we had access to the garage with lights that we could do repairs at night, there was a readily accessible hose so we were able to load clean machines back up into our trailers before returning home. The wood stove and the pellet stove were awesome to make the place comfortable as it was getting cold outside, and Paul set them up for us so they lit very easily, there was ample wood so we didn't have to go buy or cut any ourselves, and the pellet stove was fully loaded and ready when we rolled in. The Hot Tub helped a lot to help us unwind and relax away aches and pains after a day of hard trail riding. The grill outside was great, unlike most of the places we have rented in years past it came with a couple full tanks of propane, and was 100% ready to go when we got there. The outside awning made it possible for us to hang out outside even in light rain without getting soaked. There were plenty of plates and silverware settings so we didn't have to wash the same set of 4 plates, forks, spoons, and knives over and over again. It was pretty secluded although not far from other houses so while we couldn't make a lot of noise, we did not feel like we were packed in next to the neighbors. Their internet was great, a real solid broadband connection with wifi, this made up for the lack of Tmobile or Sprint service at the house, Verizon and AT&T service seems to have been OK there however. Wifi was accessible in all rooms except the front bedroom. The beds were good, nobody had any complaints, and the one in the front bedroom was awesome, better than any I've slept on in 5 years of these trips. There is only one shower, which was the only negative aspect of the property, but with 4 guys it wasn't a big deal, we never ran out of hot water (and the hot water was nice and hot, unlike so many other places!) and it wasn't one of those awful shower heads where you feel like you aren't getting enough water so this was not even enough of a negative to drop below 5 stars. All in all a great place to stay, we will definitely be coming back."

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"Our group was 4 couples and this lovely home was absolutely perfect for our New Year getaway! The house is immaculate and has everything: a FULLY stocked kitchen, tons of firewood, books, games (lots!), DVDs, CDs (loved the selection!), sleds and taboggans, a gas grill, ping pong in the garage, comfy beds, plenty of towels and extra blankets. We had a great time sledding and hiking. There are awesome floor to ceiling cubbies in the finished basement for storing/drying ski gear at the end of each day. The house is an easy 20 minutes from Stratton Mountain. The owners were great to work with. They checked in with us as our trip approached and contacted us during our stay to make sure we were all set."

  • Wonderful family time

"How to express my thoughts without gushing? I'm not sure I can, as the house and property were so far beyond my expectations. Thirteen extended family members, ranging in age from 14 to 76, enjoyed the house during a cool and rainy weekend. That said, there was enough room inside to accommodate everyone's needs. Squirrelly teens enjoyed the workout room, the Wii, and the various games. Adults cooked and visited in the kitchen. And we all gathered in the living rooms to enjoy family time. Finally, all thirteen of us fit quite comfortably in the the bedrooms, which are seriously charming. Speaking of charming, the house and property exude charm and whimsy. Brian and his wife have thought thought of every detail. We hope we can make this a yearly family reunion. The house and grounds have stolen our hearts."
