  • Wonderful!

"I cannot say enough about the property. My wife and I just returned home from a week in this house. We used it as a launching-off point to explore northern NM. When we travel, we need to stay in places with kitchens as my wife has numerous severe food allergies so restaurant eating is just not an option in most cases. She also has allergies that are set off by strong scents and several common chemicals. Harvey understands this and was a great host and shares our concerns as green living and green building is important to him. But the best part was never mentioned in any of the reviews of the property. The house has a large atrium that is perfect for breakfast. Just outside the atrium Harvey has set up a structure for the songbirds to roost and always has plenty of seed all around for them. Every morning, we sat and watched the birds and bunnies munching on the seed and suet while we planned our day. It was the perfect way to start each morning. We saw Cassin's Finches, Curve-Billed Thrashers, American Raven, Black-Headed Grosbeaks, and our favorites, two flocks of Scaled Quail. Harvey is also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and a blast to chat with. We love the area and we will be back soon. Harvey, if you read this, one small suggestion - every morning we saw at least one hummingbird but there is no feeder. If you build it, they will come."

  • Modern get-away

"This house was a modern twist on a Taos favorite. The views from all the windows are fantastic. It is close enough to town for a short trip, but gives you that "away from it all" feeling. The owners were super responsive and full of suggestions if your new to visiting Taos. The yard is fenced in, which allowed us to bring our 2 dogs. I would definitely recommend this location. It's close to hiking trails, restaurants, town and shopping."

  • My family thought it was excellent.

"A little ways out of town, but that's what we were looking for. The mountains were beautiful and the town was lovely. I think everyone should experience this area at least once in their lifetime."

  • Great House w/ Nice Outdoor Space

"The house was great. It has plenty of room with a big loft and very nice furnishings. The kitchen is also well equipped. We had a great weekend skiing and this home is very convenient to Sipapu. It also works well with the casita if you have a larger party that includes multiple families. The outdoor space is also great for star gazing with a nice fire pit. We look forward to staying here again in the future."
