  • Best in class!

"We have stayed in several beautiful casitas in the historic east side, but Casa Estrella is our absolute favorite. The owners seem to really care about the experience that their guests have because the casita is so gorgeously and impeccably outfitted with every amenity, and it is safe, livable and extremely comfortable. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful, with several spaces to sit and relax with a glass of wine or a cold beer, or even a nice book, and even bird and butterfly watch! The fountains can lull you to a nice nap! The beds were also extremely comfortable - we had a hard time getting up early to start our plans for the day. I just can't say enough about how beautifully decorated and amenable the casita is - gorgeous Santa Fe style with warm inviting colors and interesting artwork and sculpture. Just about any convenience you can think of has already been supplied at Casa Estrella. And the location is probably the very best in Santa Fe - a block from Downtown Subscription, 2 blocks from Canyon Road, and a few minutes walk to the Plaza or Museum Hill... You can't do better than that. We are so impressed with the attention the owners have shown to readying the home for guests - so often rentals "feel" like rentals and are designed and equipped that way. Not Casa Estrella - we were so sad to leave, but know we'll be back."

  • Perfect week in Santa Fe!

"We were surprised and delighted! The Shuster Studio exceeded our expectations! We spent a perfect week in the studio. The house is in excellent condition, spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with new appliances. The bathrooms are updated and quite nice. There were stacks of fresh towels and beautiful bed linens. It was immediately apparent that the owners love this house and take very good care of it. We especially enjoyed having our breakfast out on the patio every morning. In the evening, we had our nightcaps outside and gazed at the stars. The location in the historic eastside is splendid. The studio is tucked away behind the main house, with plenty of privacy. There was plenty of parking by the studio, off street. The house is a short 5-10 minute walk to the upper end of Canyon Road. So, if you're having dinner at, say, Geronimo or El Farol, you can easily stroll home. The owner left a small flashlight, which we found useful on nighttime walks as the roads are very dark. Laurie, the owner is an excellent communicator, very considerate, and she made the transaction effortless. Her lovely sister, Leslie, stopped by at the house and checked in on us to make sure that we were happy. We felt very fortunate to have spent a perfect week at the studio. We would return in a heartbeat."

  • Very pleased

"Our casita was perfect! A bit cramped for 4 ol ladies in the bathroom, but we managed. Kay was very helpful in answering all our questions and fulfilling our needs. The house was accessible to downtown and easy walking distance to many restaurants."
