  • Clean, modern, well-equipped apartment. Superb location.

"The location is unbeatable - 4 blocks from the Plaza, 3 blocks from the heart of Canyon Rd. The interior design is modern, light and clean - everything looks new. It had everything important to me - fast internet, well equipped kitchen, off-road parking spot, big shower with good water pressure, washer & dryer for laundry."

  • Couldn't have been any better!

"We stayed in Casa Vieja for the entire month of August with our two small dogs and it was pretty much perfection. The house is a genuine old Santa Fe adobe that the owner keeps immaculately maintained. Casa Vieja is cozy, comfy and tastefully decorated. It is located in a gated compound with three houses on the property, in a quiet neighborhood in the interesting (to us) historic older part of Santa Fe. A great deal of thought and care was put into the interior decoration of the house, which is filled with beautiful furniture, oriental rugs, art, and antiques. The mattress was comfortable, the sheets and towels were high quality. The tile work in the bathroom is especially exquisite. The kitchen is a pleasure to work in and is fully stocked with plates, cutlery, pots & pans. The thick adobe walls keeps the house cool, even when it is hot outside and there are plenty of windows to open for a good cross breeze. The house has a fenced courtyard garden which is a lovely place to sit in and drink coffee in the morning. Everything was spanking clean when we arrived and for a reasonable fee, we had Nancy's housekeeper come in and clean once a week. Apodaca Hill is an interesting neighborhood and you can walk to Canyon Road, The Plaza or Museum Hill from Casa Vieja. I've saved the best for last -- Nancy was the perfect hostess, she was attentive and responsive to our needs, but not obtrusive. We hope to return next year."

  • Just what we wanted

"The location was even better than we expected. Easy walking distance to the plaza and canyon rd. Not fancy, but cozy, comfortable, clean and we felt right at home. Best for a single, 1 couple or couple with a child as the bathroom is only accessible through the main bedroom upstairs. There is a single futon in the basement but no other bathroom. Fully equipped, clean and very quiet at night for a restful good nights sleep. Owners were very available and helpful as we settled in ( we were a bit travel weary). There is a sweet, little garden seating area for an afternoon glass of wine or cup of tea. We spent most of our time exploring canyon rd galleries and going to museums downtown ( IAIA, Art, Contemporary Art, and Govenors Palace, on Museum Hill ( Folkart and Native American Art and Culture). On Canyon rd we loved The Teahouse for lunch or late afternoon refreshment; we did not have dinner here but expect it would be just as satisfying as lunch. Downtown we loved the tiny Palacio Cafe on Palace st for lunch and breakfast (excellent chicken enchiladas, pozole, salad with pears; also delicious breakfast). We had a delicious dinner and breakfast at Tune Up on Hickox st. When on Museum Hill the cafe there is also excellent. Our week here was a perfect anniversary get away; we could not see and do everything we wanted, so we will just need to come again. We also enjoyed meeting so many interesting, warm, friendly Santa Feans. This made our stay even more memorable. We don't seek luxury, and this private, quiet, cozy apt suited us very much. We would recommend this apt to our friends. We hope to go to Santa Fe again, and this would be our first choice accommodation."

  • Near Canyon road galleries, comfortable secluded covered patio, beautiful Sante Fe style house

"My wife and I love the outdoors and it was wonderful to find that the house had such a nice secluded covered patio with comfortable furniture. The neighborhood is very quiet and we enjoyed listening to the birds and hearing the breeze blowing through the trees. It was a short walk to the art galleries on Canyon road. The house is beautiful inside and fits very well with the Sante Fe style. We are looking forward to a return trip."
