  • Good times at Island View on Lake George

"What a nice cottage! We were delighted by the old-fashioned North Woods decor and the beautiful setting on Lake George. We were right on the water, with a great dock and clean, sandy-bottomed water to enjoy. The cottage was clean and well-maintained and the hosts couldn't have been more friendly and cooperative with our needs. Great hiking, water sports, restaurants and touristy destinations like Ft Ticonderoga nearby."

  • Wonderful, relaxing - NY side of Lake Champlain

"We had a wonderful time staying in this house for a week. We were there with the two of us, our three sons age 18-21 and our 87 year old aunt (who uses a walker). The house is beautiful, with views of the lake throughout most of the house, including the screened in porch and the master bedroom. There is also a nice beach and dock, with kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. The boys were happy that there was Wi-Fi, and our aunt was happy that she could sit on the porch and drink coffee and read. In addition to just hanging out and relaxing, we used the house as a jumping off point to visit Burlington, VT one day (and Ben & Jerry's) and Montreal another day. Each was about 1-1.5 hours away, so easy to get to. We also did two days of hiking in the Adirondacks, one about 45 minutes away in the High Peaks region and the other about 30 minutes away. Hosts Tom and Sarah were great - very responsive to any questions we had. We highly recommend this house."

  • Adirondack beauty!

"Five female kayakers, all 60 years old plus, could not have picked a better place to stay for three days in order to paddle the Adirondack waters. This home is located right on the shore of beautiful Upper Saranac Lake and comes supplied with all that you might need. As you enter the house, you walk up a short flight of stairs to a fully stocked kitchen, a master bedroom and bathroom, a warm living room with a gas fireplace to take away any chill, and another full bathroom. Walk down the stairs to two comfortable bedrooms and a full bath. It is the view that is amazing and owners Mike and Chris have created a variety of places to enjoy the water! Sit on the porch or by the firepit. Enjoy the seating at the dock. Better yet, climb the stairs of the boathouse and sit atop in Adirondack chairs (my favorite spot by far!) to enjoy the view of distant mountains or the starry night sky. If you paddle, this is the place for you. An easy put-in allows you to kayak for miles. You might see eagles, osprey, or other wildlife as well as many of the Adirondack great camps. Just a short hop down the road is the famous Wildlife Center at Tupper Lake -- an absolutely first-class museum of the Adirondacks. Saranac Lake and Lake Placid are also nearby with skiing, hiking and world-class restaurants. The house is clean, comfortable, and complete with anything you might need. Definitely five stars!"

  • Great R&R

"We stayed at this cabin for a week and it was perfect as we were able to fish, go boating, swim and just enjoy some needed R&R. I was able to accomplish a major feat of mine in catching a Pickerel while floating on a tube where the owners of the cabin were able to help me bring it in. They are fun and just all around good people! Somewhat close to Burlington, Albany and Lake George if you want to do some exploring. Highly recommend staying here"
