  • Lovely getaway

"I spent three nights here on a solo getaway/writing retreat. The cottage is just lovely - no detail forgotten, filled with great artwork and antiques, but with a very homey feel too. The kitchen is very well appointed. The lawn is expansive and leads you down to the riverfront, where boats are available for use. There is a large apple tree by the porch, and I loved watching the deer come to snack on the fallen fruit. I took a short drive to visit Olana, which was well worth it. In short, a wonderful place where I hope to stay again soon!"

  • Comfortable, nicely furnished, quiet with beautiful view and mountains beyond.

"My wife, puppy and I had a great three day/night stay at this property and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Rhinebeck vicinity. We were welcomed at check in and provided great advice as to things to do and places to eat. Great hiking nearby and restful quiet in the evenings. Bill and Shawn and Geneva Vogel"

  • Breathtaking View on rolling hills of rural NY

"A must-see view for anyone visiting! A family wedding brought us to the area and we were most fortunate to find Peter's home available. Great location to our venue site and the other properties we rented. The cows across the road were most entertaining and the sound of the Swiss Cow Bell was quite calming! The front porch view at night was awesome, as you could see the city lights shining from afar. We did not get to spend a lot of time at the house, but it was equipped with anything you needed. No TV service was the only downfall, as we enjoy the nightly news. A charming country home!"

  • Great Stay!!

"I checked in with three other people for what had to be one of the hottest weekends of the summer. If you turn the air conditioner on the main floor on, shut the basement door, leave the main floor bedroom doors open and sleep with them open it's totally comfortable. The people who slept in the master upstairs said the air-conditioner was sufficient if the door was kept closed upstairs. It truly was super hot out but we were fine in the house. It was a major concern of mine and it all worked out! We booked the house as accommodation for going to an Omega workshop. It was amazing accommodation with only a 15 to 20 minute drive to Omega. Fully equipped and good water pressure in the showers. Great decor and lovely linens. Would highly recommend and I would stay there again for sure! Note: access to the house was through a remote garage door opener. This becomes problematic if you are not always traveling with your group. Also if unloading groceries and luggage, pull up to the side of the house and bring it in through the front door. Then go park the car on the lower-level garage area. Saves a lot of hassle."
