  • Great Little Cottage Conviently Located

"Great little cottage for a girl's getaway. It was nice being close to stores and gas stations in Penn Yan, yet we were within 30 minutes to an hour drive to beautiful parks and outdoor activities. Kathy has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable, and the property is immaculately clean and very well-maintained. The kayaks and hot tub were particularly nice!"

"This house was amazing! Pictures do not do it justice. Its right on the water 5ft off the porch. We all had an amazing time and will be back again. My family wants to rent it for a week next time! Mike was very helpful with questions etc. I would recommend this rental to anyone! The leaves were beautiful! Great kitchen!"

  • Beautiful, pristine house

"This house has been beautifully rehabbed and is very comfortable. Kitchen is completely stocked, and there is a gas grill. I loved the screened porch and spent mornings watching the sun rise and reading. The deck is new; I wanted to swim, but the algae was not conducive. Just taking a star off as there really wasn't any internet service- we tried multiple times, but just couldn't log in. While vacations are for getting away- I do need to respond to work emails on occasion. Be forewarned- the house is on a road which is reached by a a very steep gravel road."

  • Absolutely stunning view of the lake

"What a great place to stay with a large group. It is right...I mean right on Cayuga lake. The location is very rural and peaceful, but central to several wineries and parks. About 15 minutes from the historical town of Seneca Falls. There are four outside seating areas, including a table with seating for 8 in the lanai (FL term for screened in patio). There is also a nice fire pit that we unfortunately didn't have time to use. I went with my mother, her two sisters, a good friend of my mother's, and my poor solo-man husband, so it was nice to have the guest house all to ourselves. The property was clean and well maintained. Janice provided very good directions and customer service. The listing was mostly accurate. We had one issue and that was the bottom bunk with the double bed does not have a mattress; instead it was just covered with a thin plastic like pad and a blanket, which rendered it useless to our adult group. It was described as for children, but I guess I would recommend moving one of the real futon mattresses, for example the one in the guest house, to the bottom bunk for comfort. All other beds were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this cottage to others and may stay there again in the future."
