  • A wonderful weekend stay

"Nice, spacious apartment in a wonderful location. Larger than any NY apartment (or hotel room) I have stayed in. Host was very accommodating, and the cost was very reasonable."

  • Fantastic apartment in Soho

"My family of 5 (including 17, 19 and 21 year olds) stayed in this fantastic apartment in Soho for a couple of weeks last Christmas holidays. The location is great - near lots of shops, cool cafes and a short walk to Little Italy, Washington Square and the East Village. There are several subway stations close by. The apartment is spacious and light-filled and has a little balcony with views over the Manhattan skyline. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. I hope we can go back and stay!"

  • Lots Good, Some Not So Much

"This was the 2nd time we stayed here. Last year there were only two of us, this time three. This time we rented the entire apartment and suite. I don't think more than two people would find the apartment comfortable for sleeping, which is why we also rented the "suite." The owner is VERY accessible since she lives upstairs and she is very responsive. She also knows the city inside and out and has made lots of great suggestions in a notebook in the apartment. The apartment is well located, easy walking distance to both subway and buses. It is on a residential street with restaurants and shops nearby. It's on the ground floor, so no flights to climb. The kitchen is very modern and well stocked with plates, pots, silverware, etc. There is a dishwasher. The adjoining dining table is quite suitable. Bonus feature: a large (for NY) backyard with table and chairs. Really unheard of in NY. Sadly, most of the furniture is rather shabby and badly worn. There are two new chairs in the LR, but the sofa and day bed are really bad. The bathroom with shower is in the bedroom, so anyone needing the toilet at night has to come through the bedroom, waking those asleep there. The "suite" has its own powder room. The bathroom has a distinctively moldy smell, even if the fan is constantly left running. I think this apartment is very roomy for NY, very well located and on a lovely tree-lined street."
