  • Ski Trip 2016 Feb 25th - Feb 28th

"Had a great stay at Peter's house of wood! There was plenty of room and everything we needed was there. The hot tub was fantastic, as well as the whole downstairs/basement area. We couldn't have asked for better weather conditions for the weekend. Made for some great shreddin'! Getting to the slopes at the end of the road was no more than a five minute walk which was perfect for us. If you stay here make sure to check out Fred's(five min walk) and make sure to play Jenga(on the mantle) should get a few good laughs."

  • Most gorgeous views I've ever seen

"This condo was perfect for our weekend getaway. I can't say enough about the movie selection, almost 500 movies to choose from. It was very spacious and we enjoyed the patio most of all. Everyone there is nice, from check in to the shuttle service. We will definitely be back again."

  • Wonderful getaway

"My family decided to plan a last-minute mountain getaway last weekend. We found this cabin on a Wednesday night, corresponded with Bobby on Thursday and arrived on Friday afternoon. Bobby was super prompt and great to deal with. The cabin was exactly as described. Lots of sleeping room, a very usable, stocked kitchen, lots of indoor hangout spaces and beautiful views out the back porch. The ping pong table was a hit with my family. We also had movie night with the great TV setup in the basement rec room. It is a long (40 minute) drive to the nearest grocery store, so make sure you stop on the way in to stock up! We made several meals at the cabin & grilled out as well. The kitchen is well stocked with necessary ingredients as well as cookware. There are fun things to do nearby - we went to Otter Creek Falls in Seven Devils, Elk River Falls and Grandfather Mountain. The weather was perfect for July - much cooler than where we came from near Charlotte. We will definitely consider coming back to this property. I would recommend something with 4WD if planning to come when there's snow on the ground. Any other time, it's well accessible with 2WD cars."

  • Tubing weekend with family

"This chalet was absolutely wonderful. It was clean and very comfortable. The fireplace gave it that extra warm feeling. The home was well stocked with games for the kids, cards for the adults and sleds were in the garage for the kids to use when it snowed. The view was breathtaking and especially when it snowed. Very convenient to dining and other areas to explore. Loved that you could actually walk to Hawks Nest for tubing. This is definitely a place that will be on my repeat stay list. Thank you Mary Rose for the pleasure of visiting your Chalet."
