  • Ski Trip 2016 Feb 25th - Feb 28th

"Had a great stay at Peter's house of wood! There was plenty of room and everything we needed was there. The hot tub was fantastic, as well as the whole downstairs/basement area. We couldn't have asked for better weather conditions for the weekend. Made for some great shreddin'! Getting to the slopes at the end of the road was no more than a five minute walk which was perfect for us. If you stay here make sure to check out Fred's(five min walk) and make sure to play Jenga(on the mantle)...you should get a few good laughs."

  • wonderful ski condo

"This was the perfect ski condo! Logistically easy access to beech and very comfortable. Would definitely go back - in fact, I'm considering a second trip this season :) Thanks again! Molly Fahey"

  • Mountain fun!

"Just returned from 5 days at Beechwood Bungalow. This is a lovely home nestled in a very private spot on Beech Mountain. We were completely cozy and comfortable the whole visit. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and taking in the nature around us. There was a mother deer and her baby fawn that hung out right past the deck and we loved watching them each day. We had a wonderful time whitewater rafting, hiking and exploring the mountain. Our family stayed with our friends and so we had 4 adults and 6 kids between us. It was SO much fun. Our friends played frisbee golf one day and said it was the BEST frisbee golf course they've seen. We loved it!!"

  • Nice place - convenient to everything

"We were looking for a VRBO that we could bring our two small dogs with us and we struck the jackpot. This property (Herb's House) is centrally located in the High Country area, with easy access to Valle Crucis, Boone, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie, etc. (knowing all the back roads helps - good thing I spent 5 years at ASU learning them). Wesley and Suzanne keep their properties very clean, well-maintained, and include many of the amenities that some VRBO rentals may not have. All of us were very comfortable and enjoyed our long weekend in the mountains. We will definitely be back!!"
