  • Beautiful House in a Great Area

"My Fiance and I, along with our Golden Retrievers, stayed here with a few friends for a weekend getaway and had an absolute blast. The house is just as cute as it looks in the pictures and is in a great location. We went down into Banner Elk on the first day and ate at The Bayou, which is a great little dive bar with good food. The next morning we woke up and rented our gear from the ski shack, which is conveniently located right across the main road. We then drove up to Beech Mountain which is only about a 10 min drive for a day full of skiing. That night, we all got in the hot tub to help heal our sore bodies. I would definitely recommend this house to any group of 2 - 5 people looking for an beautiful, affordable rental property in a great location. Thanks for letting us stay at Tall Timbers, we will definitely be back!"

  • Quiet, Private, Perfect

"We only had a couple of days to get away and Mountain View Cabin was the perfect setting to catch our breath and recharge the batteries. Close enough to get what you might need, but far enough away (and at the end of a road) to feel off the beaten path. Within close proximity to abundant hiking trails that we took advantage of, it was nice to come back to the cabin for a relaxing soak in the hot tub and a restful nights sleep. Bottom line is we plan to be back."

  • Good place with great view

"Had a lovely ski weekend at Sugar Mountain. Great apartment with awesome facilities such as the pool facilities. We were lucky to be able to park behind the building, so that we didn't have to wait for shuttles."

  • Great Ski Weekend

"A great cabin tucked away. We came the weekend after the snow storm of January 2016. Despite the plentiful amount of snow left over and the remoteness, the roads heading up the cabin were in great shape. Beautiful views of Grandfather Mountain, peaceful creek steps from the cabin, built in (deck level) hot tub, gas fireplace, and equipped kitchen made this a wonderful stay. The only problems were: 1. the dryer was disabled and an service call was already in place to repair and 2. the tv service was not working, which did not matter to us because we didn't take a vacation to watch tv. Couldn't have asked for a better stay! We will be back!"
