"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Black mountain was a prefect location for us. It was quiet enough for us country folk and close enough to any activity we were looking for.. Food, outdoor adventure, some shopping or just relaxing at our " home away from home". Snowy cove was a beautiful cabin equipped with all the comforts of home. Exceptional !"

  • Beautiful Mountain top Home

"A group of us from work stayed here while riding motorcycles in the Little Switzerland area. It provided the perfect place for us all to stay and rest up. There was plenty of beds and it was very quite and relaxing so we could wind down and rest up after a long hard day of riding. The best part was all of us sitting around the fire at the end of day trading stories. Everything was provided for us and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I would love bring my family back here and enjoy this beautiful home."

"A little hard to find the first day but that was our fault, directions were clear. Stayed 3 days, although we went mainly for hiking, Black Mountain is real close to Ashville and lots of other interesting places, including Chimney Rock. We hiked 2 days and found a great trail in Montreat, just a few miles from Black Mountain. Cabin was great, clean, great views and only a few miles from town."

  • Great for large family and a good time

"We stayed at the Wildcat Lodge during the week of July 4th and had a blast. The lodge is a great place to come home to. Indeed it feels very home-like. We had 10 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room. The lodge is built with beautiful detail and yet has a little wear and tear that made it so we didn't feel like we had to walk on egg shells. It feels lived in and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a privilege to stay in such a lovely place. We never met anyone associated with the property. All arrangements and payments were made online and everything went as promised; including the refund of our deposit. Our favorite parts of the home were the deck with the little fire-pit on it and the game room. We all sat around the fire most evenings talking and taking in the night sky. We liked the location being about 30-40 minutes from Asheville and up in a gated community; albeit, not crowded with homes. You only see a few other homes on your drive back to the lodge. You don't have a view, but the beauty of the home and the remote location make it worth it. There are plenty of views as you drive anywhere from here! Thank you for sharing this lodge with my family. We had a great time and hope to return! Mickey and Janice"
