  • What a view!!!!

"We spent our July 4th holiday at this lodge and loved every minute of it. Everything was wonderful. The beds were comfortable and there was more than enough room for all of us. We spent most of our time on the top deck just looking at the mountains. We ventured out once so that our grandkids could go fishing. Just a short drive to Morse Park. The owner was more than accommodating and easy to work with. Many restaurants and shops just a short drive into Chimney Rock & Lake Lure. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone that is looking for relaxing and amazing views!"

  • Enjoyed our time at the cabin

"You can tell that they take care of the cabin. The cabin was older but had many many updates. The owners put alot of thought into how to outfit the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. The bathrooms were clean and functional. The beds were comfortable. The living room was great to sit, relax and watch some TV after visiting the Biltmore and riding on the BlueRidge Parkway. The outdoor area had plenty of seating and the hot tub was great and clean. The front porch was nice to sit and rock with out morning coffee. Parking is adequate but wasn't quite large enough for our truck and trailer, but we were able to find an place to put the trailer to give us room to manuveur at the cabin. Black Mountain which is near by is a quaint town with some great restaurants to eat at."

  • Nice place for large groups

"This place was great for a reunion weekend with old college friends. Very spacious, good layout, well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the proximity to Black Mountain, a nice quaint town with good restaurants. The large kitchen table was very nice, but even better was the spacious and scenic screened in porch. I will say that we overlooked the detail about this cabin not having central a/c -- an important detail to consider if you're visiting in the summer months, but the whole house fan worked well and the shady location helped -- we spent most of our time on the screened in porch and found it very cool and pleasant out there throughout our stay. We'd stay here again!"

  • Phil Petty

"A little hard to find the first day but that was our fault, directions were clear. Stayed 3 days, although we went mainly for hiking, Black Mountain is real close to Ashville and lots of other interesting places, including Chimney Rock. We hiked 2 days and found a great trail in Montreat, just a few miles from Black Mountain. Cabin was great, clean, great views and only a few miles from town."
