  • Perfect Getaway!!

"The cabin was everything we imagined and then some. We vacationed with our "kids" and their partners ages 25 to 31. My only regret is that I wish I had recorded their faces when they made their way down to the basement. They were so surprised. They were like children on Christmas morning, not knowing what to play with first. The cabin was very clean, well stocked and much care was given to the details. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. I've been in the home building industry for over 35 years and it's obvious that a lot of thought went into making this the perfect home away from home. We will definitely be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us."

  • Relaxing and convenient

"Thank you for a wonderful week's accommodations! My husband, (4-yr old) daughter, and I had a lovely stay. The cottage is adorable and just what we were looking for to get away from our busy lives. The hot tub was enjoyable and the location was great for trips into Asheville and local hikes around Black Mountain. I particularly enjoyed getting out for some since bike rides - the scenery is beautiful! Thanks again!"

  • Sunny, clean and roomy.

"I'm a big sun person so the fact that this cabin wasn't all shady was good for me! We didn't spend a lot of time there as we were back and forth to Lake Eden for wedding events. I enjoyed the huge porch and my family really liked the hot tub. Tons of room for 4 adults and a baby. It was close to Chimney Rock state park which we hiked and Black Mountain provides groceries, gas and restaurants. We also went to Montreat and Asheville which was a pretty easy commute. The only thing I was a bit surprised at was the drive up the mountain (and down!) once you got off the main road. I'm glad we had a leased car and we didn't have to find it initially after dark! The info that the owner provided in the cabin on places they had been was also very helpful. A very peaceful place that was very clean and plenty of supplies."

"A little hard to find the first day but that was our fault, directions were clear. Stayed 3 days, although we went mainly for hiking, Black Mountain is real close to Ashville and lots of other interesting places, including Chimney Rock. We hiked 2 days and found a great trail in Montreat, just a few miles from Black Mountain. Cabin was great, clean, great views and only a few miles from town."
