  • Reunion at Rock Creek Retreat

"Our family have the opportunity to gather at Rock Creek Retreat for a family reunion. The cabin was absolutely what we all needed and wanted in a mountain retreat. The cabin's front porch with a view of the deck and creek water babbling below was very welcoming. We all were able to relax, reflect and rejuvenate. The house was very well appointed. The cabin and furniture was very comfortable and cozy. We will be back again to visit. We all agreed we would want to stay longer in this magical place."

  • Absolutely loved our stay!

"Several of us stayed at the European Cottage as part of a family reunion. It was fabulous! The location is perfect! Easy walk down to Lake Tomahawk! But it was just as enjoyable to hang out in the back yard. The deck is large and fabulous. Although only 5 of us slept here, we had the family reunion group over one night for a meal and it was great! Well stocked kitchen, so we could cook/grill, and there is plenty of seating. Then, of course, we enjoyed the hot tub. We also got an "art tour" of the pieces in the cottage from Patrice. It's all so well put together and just a very pleasant place to be. I enjoyed having my morning coffee and newspaper/computer reading at the bar on the deck, and I enjoyed the seating in the yard underneath the tree for book/afternoon reading. Loved the sunken jetted tub. I'm going back!"

  • Slice of Heaven on Earth

"The Azalea House is VERY welcoming and cozy. Reminds me of my grandparents, aunts and uncles homes. The house was EXCEPTIONALLY clean and had EVERYTHING, and much more than, I could imagine needing on vacation. We were in the area for a family wedding at Lake Eden so we didn't get to spend the time we wanted at the Azalea House. Next time we will stop at the store on the way in and settle in for our stay. We didn't have the opportunity this trip but we would love to sit by the creek for hours and listen to the gurgling water or sit by the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the warmth and crackle of the fire while reminiscing and roasting wieners for dinner and marshmallows for smores. Our family still holds horse shoe tournaments and they have horseshoe pits at the Azalea House. We loved that! oh, and the stars. It has been years since we have seen so many stars in the sky! We hope next trip we can meet the owners and thank them in person for sharing such a special place. Also, to note , is town is 10 minutes away and has everything you need. Great shops, antique hardware, grocery, clothing, art and crafts, a variety of restaurants and Hey, Hey Cupcake (fabulous). And, there are many places to explore a short distance away such as Ashville, the Biltmore, Grove Park Inn, lakes and trails, etc.. My husband and I dream of owning a place like this (with the creek) to spend the rest of our lives. We hope to be back very soon and stay longer, not just for a weekend. Thanks to Lorraine and Johnny for checking in with us to make sure we made it ok and were satisfied with everything. It could not have been any better....just longer."

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pretty good place and nice view to the mountain. I recommend to offer the PPV for the cable or movies. I was trying to watch a fight in directv but they ask for password"
