  • Wonderful home and owner! Perfect experience!

"I booked this house for an intern and seven college students attending the Montreat College Conference. After arriving there, our intern texted me back saying, "the house is amazing". I think that largely sums it up. Wonderful location and beautiful setting for adults or college students wanting to stay in a home while attending a conference at Montreat. Our group took casseroles for dinner and heated them nightly. Molly is an incredible host! She stayed in contact with me via email, phone, and VRBO. When I gave her the phone number of our intern who was chaperoning the trip, she reached out directly to her to assure that she had all the information she would need. Lovely home and lovely host! I cannot recommend this property enough!"

  • Outstanding!

"The quietest property I have ever experienced! You feel like you have your own mountainside. You can't see another house only miles of distant mountains. The house is the best furnished VRBO I have ever rented. Worth every dollar spent. Black Mountain very close for shopping and dining. Pisgah brewing in Black Mtn is a very good brewpub with great entertainment and great beer!"

  • Slice of Heaven on Earth

"The Azalea House is VERY welcoming and cozy. Reminds me of my grandparents, aunts and uncles homes. The house was EXCEPTIONALLY clean and had EVERYTHING, and much more than, I could imagine needing on vacation. We were in the area for a family wedding at Lake Eden so we didn't get to spend the time we wanted at the Azalea House. Next time we will stop at the store on the way in and settle in for our stay. We didn't have the opportunity this trip but we would love to sit by the creek for hours and listen to the gurgling water or sit by the outdoor fire pit and enjoy the warmth and crackle of the fire while reminiscing and roasting wieners for dinner and marshmallows for smores. Our family still holds horse shoe tournaments and they have horseshoe pits at the Azalea House. We loved that! oh, and the stars. It has been years since we have seen so many stars in the sky! We hope next trip we can meet the owners and thank them in person for sharing such a special place. Also, to note , is town is 10 minutes away and has everything you need. Great shops, antique hardware, grocery, clothing, art and crafts, a variety of restaurants and Hey, Hey Cupcake (fabulous). And, there are many places to explore a short distance away such as Ashville, the Biltmore, Grove Park Inn, lakes and trails, etc.. My husband and I dream of owning a place like this (with the creek) to spend the rest of our lives. We hope to be back very soon and stay longer, not just for a weekend. Thanks to Lorraine and Johnny for checking in with us to make sure we made it ok and were satisfied with everything. It could not have been any better....just longer."

  • Fantastic Welcome to the Brand New Year

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented this property for my children and the house was a perfect place to ring in the new year. The management team was fabulous to work with and made everything very easy. The house was beautifully maintained and well appointed. I travel extensively and generally speaking, kitchens often are under stocked. We cooked a fabulous meal on new year's eve and this kitchen had every utensil necessary. Laurel Hill is a beautiful, comfortable and welcoming home and my children are already talking about renting it next summer."
