  • Wonderful Family Thanksgiving in Black Mountain

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family came together in Tulip Cottage for Thanksgiving, there were six of us and each couple had a spacious bedroom. We had guests for Thanksgiving and we loved the screened porch and were able to seat nine for dinner. The house is very clean, comfortable and well-stocked with condiments and kitchen tools. Our dogs appreciated being with us and the neighborhood provided a great place to walk, very close to Tomahawk Lake and a short drive to Montreat. Nice shopping in Black Mountain, only a short drive to Asheville. Family members mountain biked, hiked, shopped and took in the brew pubs of Asheville. Downtown Black Mountain is a gem of good restaurants and varied shops. We all loved the week we spent there."

  • Excellent location...Spotless...Everything you need...Cozy...Views

"Our first VRBO experience was a success. Home is very close to the town square and highway which made it easy to grab a bite or jump on the highways (this town is just a few mins from Asheville). We also drove to Grandfather Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Banner Elk areas for Snow Tubing with the kids. Well reviewed restaurants nearby and markets to grab essentials in Black Mountain. The cottage is straight out of Architectural Digest magazine! Interior work and design is beautiful. Stainless steel appliances, comfy beds, modern bath fixtures, electric reclining sofas, huge plasma tv, great internet speeds, and nice clothing washer made our experience even better. The toilet even has a bidet. The owners really thought of everything to make our experience enjoyable. The second bathroom has a tub which was important since we like to bathe our 3 and 5 year olds in this setting. Cottage has a lot of natural lighting (several windows). As a result, you have a continuous view of the mountains. Cottage comes with so many useful items...two types of coffee makers, kitchen essentials like a wine opener, bowls, plates, glassware, plastic cups, coasters near the sofa, magazines, and more! Liz was awesome to work with. Thank you for the welcome note and chocolate! Liz also provided excellent details for our arrival needs. In addition, thanks for providing some extra info regarding our snow tubing adventure planning! I highly recommend this VRBO experience."

  • Relaxing stay in Black Mountain

"Clean, comfortable, and easy to get to. Convenient to Black Mountain. Would recommend to friends. Sherry was friendly and interesting to talk with. She didn't force conversation but was happy to converse when we were open to conversation. Good suggestions for restaurants and shopping."

  • 40th Birthday Party

"The house was awesome! There was ample space and it was well appointed. Great location with amazing views. The surrounding area was great for hiking and exploring. The only down side to the entire experience was there was never enough hot water for two quick showers at any given time. Other than that we had a fantastic time at the Bear Lodge."
