  • Great for large family and a good time

"We stayed at the Wildcat Lodge during the week of July 4th and had a blast. The lodge is a great place to come home to. Indeed it feels very home-like. We had 10 adults and 4 children and had plenty of room. The lodge is built with beautiful detail and yet has a little wear and tear that made it so we didn't feel like we had to walk on egg shells. It feels lived in and we enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a privilege to stay in such a lovely place. We never met anyone associated with the property. All arrangements and payments were made online and everything went as promised; including the refund of our deposit. Our favorite parts of the home were the deck with the little fire-pit on it and the game room. We all sat around the fire most evenings talking and taking in the night sky. We liked the location being about 30-40 minutes from Asheville and up in a gated community; albeit, not crowded with homes. You only see a few other homes on your drive back to the lodge. You don't have a view, but the beauty of the home and the remote location make it worth it. There are plenty of views as you drive anywhere from here! Thank you for sharing this lodge with my family. We had a great time and hope to return! Mickey and Janice"

  • Beautiful home, great location

"This was our second stay here in this beautiful home. We like that is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Black Mountain is a cute, fun town, grocery store is close & there are great restaurants! Phil's Barbecue & Gondoliers Pizza are our favorites, Dripolator has really good coffee. We stayed here to ride our motorcycle--wonderful roads to ride, many places to go!! (we put 1500 miles on in a week! ) While the house is very nice, we had some issues with lighting & the Jacuzzi tub. There are not a lot of "staples" provided in the kitchen. It was clean & comfortable with plenty of room--my favorite is the sun room!! The deck is a wonderful, quiet place to eat & enjoy the sounds of all the birds. On our last day, we enjoyed seeing a mama bear & her two cubs in the driveway!! What a sight~~ and so cute!! :) I think you would enjoy this home, Ed is easy to work with & usually responds quickly to any questions. We hope to return here again!!"

  • Awesome!

"Group of friends stayed as this wonderful cottage over the memorial weekend while hiking and exploring the Asheville area. It had everything that we needed and was very spacious (there was 13 of us). The owner was very accommodating and was available to answer our calls before and during our stay. I highly recommend this place for large group trips and also hope to stay here again in the future!"

  • Great House

"Great house at a great price. We really enjoyed our time at the house and in Asheville. The deck is a perfect place to pass time in late spring/early time. We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a family get away."
