  • Beautiful cozy home in the heart of Asheville!

"We had a wonderful time staying at cozy cottage. The location was wonderful, we were able to walk anywhere we desired to go. We had delicious food at The Lobster Trap and The Blackbird Cafe. Check in was very easy and convenient. The owner was very attentive and responded quickly to any request. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for the six of us to spread out and have privacy. We definitely look forward to staying here again in the near future. Thank you for the use of your beautiful home."

  • Loocation is not only beatiful but also very private.

"Great house with attention to detail. Loved the open floor plan and the roominess for everyone. Every room has its own attention to detail and character. Enjoyed the fireplaces especially the outdoor on the covered deck."

  • Stayed the Entire Month of October with Friends & Family Stopping by to Visit

"We returned a year later to enjoy the entire month at Buffalo Creek Lodge. Beau always makes us feel like part of the family. We watched the construction of Buffalo Trace above the Lodge. We spent the majority of our time relaxing on the property, enjoyed "Supper 3, several Supper 7's, and even a Supper 10 at The Pointe for Liar's Club II. Those who have been here know what this means. Side trips this time included Waynesville, Sylva, Mingo Falls at Cherokee, and then Pisgaw Forest to view Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock Falls, with a lunch stop at Hawg Wild BBQ. Lots of turkey, deer, and elk in the Smoky Mountains National Park. Great hiking trails and trout fishing. We see something new each year we return. We will return for October 2017."

  • Lovely mountaintop escape, beautiful view

"We wanted to escape the world for a few days to get away from work and life and stay in a quaint little cabin on a mountain top with a beautiful view to enjoy, and that's just what we got. Sitting on a mountain top and enjoying a beautiful fall view is my bliss. The owners were easy to work with, the cabin was lovely, we brought along our food and our Roku and while we had PLANS to explore around the area, we really didn't leave once we'd arrived, we were having such a good time relaxing at the cabin! The cabin has wifi and you can use your Netflix or other online channel accounts through their Internet-channel-enabled Blu Ray Player. We hooked up our Roku so we didn't have to sign into all of our accounts in a new place, it worked fine, albeit a bit slow. Internet speed at the cabin was SLOW, like half a megabit per second slow (I usually get ~100 at home with Time Warner Cable's mid range speed package), BUT surprisingly while it took Netflix a little longer to load up a stream to watch, it never interrupted it to buffer it once it got going (the same can't be said for my connection at home!), so it was good enough for our needs. We did a little exploring up the trail from the cabin - be forewarned that it is steep and rough terrain, with a lot of switchbacks to get you up to the mountain ridge, but if you're a mountain hiker kind of person, you'll enjoy! Getting up to the cabin on the narrow gravel road was a little challenging, but nothing our Buick sedan couldn't handle. The view from the deck was delightful and we spent a lot of time just sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view. We were only a few minutes from town (with 2 full grocery stores and other amenities), but with the cooler of food and supplies we brought, we didn't have to go anyplace once we arrived - it was a completely private and WONDERFUL escape! As other reviewers have mentioned, the stairs to the loft bedroom are precarious and narrow and steep, but it's a lovely bedroom, with more room around the bed than the one downstairs. Since there were just two of us we enjoyed time in both. The couch was so comfy it put us to sleep snuggled up each night before we made it to bed. Rest and relaxation was in order before this trip and we sure got it!"
