  • Perfect for a couple or small family

"This was a great find and the other reviews were right on target. The cabin is fully equipped and everything works. It is small, but in a great location on a cove and very comfortable and quiet. There were families all around us but everyone is respectful and somehow the noise of children splashing in the water was almost soothing. By 9 pm it was dead quiet. We brought kitchen items like trash bags, aluminum foil, seasonings, etc but really didn't need to. You will need to bring paper goods especially if you stay more than a few days. The owner was accessible by text message because we couldn't find the wifi password but it is written down on the bulletin board. Cellphone coverage is sparse and I had zero bars on Sprint, but ATT and Verizon (work phones) had decent coverage. The dock had everything you need including some water toys. Lake Lure is not terribly cold mountain water - I would say it was just right. We will definitely go back - perhaps in the fall."

  • Confortable Mountain Retreat

"A comfortable stay in a well maintained mountain home. We were in the area for a family reunion. The resort amenities were perfect for our short stay. (swimming pool, beach, restaurant, etc.) A relatively new grocery store was about 20 minutes away."

  • Spectacular home and views!

"My sister and I enjoyed one of the most relaxing vacations ever at this breathtakingly beautiful home with a view to match! Everything about this home is well done and everything is provided for cooking including an outdoor grill. We enjoyed the outdoor deck on both the back and front of the house. We spent 2 entire days just sitting, relaxing on the deck and in the hot tub, enjoying the view and peace & quiet! We drove the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway one day to Grandfather Mountain, visited the Biltmore Estate, downtown Asheville and Black Mountain and enjoyed authentic southern food are area restaurants. It was ALL spectacular. Lori was very helpful and replied to email questions quickly. The drive to and from is a little scary the first time. After that, it's an easy drive and we saw something different every time! One funny note, Lori provides great directions to get to the cabin. However, our GPS kept telling us to turn on other roads to get there. One day, a friend from SC came to visit and we decided to be adventurous and follow the GPS. DON'T EVER FOLLOW THE GPS! We ended up on many miles of dirt, one lane roads and on Bear Track Road, had to back up more than 1/2 mile because the SUV wouldn't/couldn't go any further. Wheels kept spinning because the gravel was so loose and the grade too steep. So follow only Lori's directions to the cabin!!! On the Blue Ridge Parkway, we saw a sign in front of a general store that said, "GPS Trauma Center" and had a good laugh!!! I've recommended this cabin to many of my friends and co-workers and would come back again myself! Thanks so much Lori for sharing your lovely cabin home with us! Virginia B"

  • Amazing vacation!

"The condo was perfect for our small family. We had a wonderful weekend. It was situated right on the lake and we had access to kayaks. There was a great dock with chairs to sit out on as well. The condo itself was vey clean and well maintained. It had a nice rustic decor that suited the scenery. The property manager also offered lots of small amenities within the condo such as life jackets, beach towels, spices, a bottle of wine, etc. Everything you would need was available to us. We had a power failure due to a storm and we even found flash lights and a lantern. The lantern wasn't charged and immediately upon calling Ken he stopped by to drop off a working lantern. Wifi connection was good and we had a great time. Would definitely rent this property again."
