  • Family Reunion vacation

"River House and Little River House properties were our family's "home away from home" for our reunion over Labor Day weekend. From the beginning Rondi was so easy to communicate with. She responded very quickly to texts/ emails and answered all our questions happily. Our group spanned 4 generations and everyone felt at home. The bedrooms were comfortable; décor was never "boring"-there was always something new to look at; there were areas for all ages just to "hang out"; between the large deck overlooking the beautiful river, the dining room and living room, everyone had a place to relax. The kitchen worked well for making meals together. The kids enjoyed the river, playing mini golf and hide and seek. Shopping and restaurants are very close by. The sound of the river lulled us to sleep and we dream of more fun times in N. Carolina. I would definitely stay in this VRBO again and recommend it to all my friends and relations. It was even better than the pictures."

  • Immaculate and would love to purchase it

"The owner of the property was engaging and a hoot to talk to and get to know. The entire property is gorgeous inside and out and tastefully and artfully decorated. Lots of attention to detail as an OCD person I like. Everything was functional and it worked. The hot tub setup was great and strategically located where you can watch the stars and any wildlife that might creep in on a moonlight night. I will be staying here as often as possible and recommending this property to all of my family and friends."

  • Great Lake Vacation

"Beautiful home, plenty of room for our party of 4 families; 8 adults and 7 kids (ages 3 mo -5 yrs). The kitchen was well equipped. The spacious basement had a pool table, poker table, foosball table, darts, an area to watch tv with comfy recliners, and even a bar (I wish there was a mini fridge downstairs!). Loved drinking coffee every morning on the huge deck while taking in the beautiful view. Loved being in Rumbling Bald Resort, although our stay was too short to take advantage of all the amenities. A few suggestions: if you're a big group, you may need to bring extra toilet paper, garbage bags, soap for the dishwasher and laundry detergent."

  • Lovely setup for multigenerational family

"This property was perfect for our 3-generation family of 6. The home is right on the lake, with a lakeside deck. We particularly liked the gathering spaces - sofa and chairs around the fireplace and an open area overlooking the lake. There's a large master suite as well as two smaller rooms with double beds. There is not a large dining area - there's a bar setup and a smallish bar-height table - which might have been more of a problem if we were all trying to sit down for formal meals. The owners responded quickly to our questions, even on Thanksgiving. The stairs down to the entry could be tricky for less agile guests to negotiate. The street is almost at roof level of the house. Like most properties in the area, there is a fairly long staircase down to the main entrance, and there are some uneven spots. Overall, a lovely space with pretty much everything we needed!"
