  • Relaxing cabin in the woods

"Our family stayed over Christmas 2016. The cabin was very clean and surprisingly big. No surprises when we arrived, everything was as described. Good location. Close to Chimney State Park, we took some great hikes there. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in a beautiful log cabin, with all the modern conveniences, plus have a great place to relax and enjoy the woods."

  • Peaceful, lovely lake retreat!

"We enjoyed a super fun week at Lake Lure, and this home did not disappoint. First, the location is superb. Quiet cove off of the main lake, but still close enough to everything. Short walk to the boat house and both the home and the boat house were exceptionally clean and well kept. We loved kayaking and SUP all week! Our kids, ages 4 and 7 had a great swimming area and enjoyed the Lake and the home as well. Everything you could want from the kitchen, linens, a worry-free week. We can't wait to go back! Joan was a delight to work with, and we would highly recommend this home for your visit. We visited the beach once, but you don't need to. You have the lake right there. We loved Lake Lure and this home was just perfect."

  • Great property with scenic views in a quiet area

"This property was very nice! Quiet location up in the mountains. It is not far from a grocery store, the quaint little shopping area and beach, the lake, and a few restaurants. The only reason I give 4 stars is that the kitchen is very small making it a little difficult to cook/store food in the mini-fridge."

  • Beautiful!

"We stayed in Logged out for our daughter's wedding weekend. The cabin is beautiful! The way it's situation and the landscape around it almost makes it feel like a tree house. Lots of nice outdoor space with a small patio (with a grill; we didn't use it, but it was there), a screened porch, an upper deck and a fire pit out back! We had 6 adults in the cabin and there was plenty of room. We never felt like we were in each other's way and no one ever even used the loft! We couldn't figure out how to use the TV in the master bedroom, but we rarely had the televisions on, so that wasn't a major draw back. The only cautions I would give anyone are there are a lot of stairs between the parking spot and the cabin. My older mother had a little trouble with the stairs, but we managed. And the drive way is very steep and the parking spot is very small. We never tried to put both of our cars in the parking area down the driveway (we left one at the top of the hill; which is at the end of the 'road' and so we had plenty of room to leave it up top). Overall we loved the this property and plan to book another vacation here in the future."
