  • Great little get away.

"Great location and space. Very well kept up by the owner. Very clean. We ran into some kinks on our part, Donna was very understanding and willing to accommodate our needs!"

  • A memorable family vacation

"Having just returned to the mainland I want to share with future guests what a memorable family experience we had during our week-long stay at Tranquility Base. We were a family of diverse needs, grandparents, parents and grandchildren. This condo could not have been a better fit for everyone. We loved it! The location of this condo within the complex is ideal; set back from a quiet side road, overlooking the pool where the grandchildren played and the hot tub just a few steps away. There is easy access to a safe walking path with a pleasant stroll to either Shipwreck Beach or Poipu Beach. What we loved the most about our week were nights spent on our tree-house lanai, when soft lights line the walking path , and up-lights illuminate the palm trees as trade winds clatter in the palms, all set to the sounds of rhythmic crashing of waves on Shipwreck Beach. As a family we shared the magic of our Hawaiian evenings (while other condos overlooked the parking lot). With vaulted ceilings the unit was open and spacious. The interior tastefully furnished and all the furniture and beds comfortable. Clearly the owners take great pride in their unit as each room was clean and well maintained. In the kitchen everything we needed was provided. And the central AC was a blessing after a hot day at the beach. We had a family experience we will always remember, and the only negative was that we had to leave. We definitely plan to return to Kauai, and Tranquility Base will be our first choice of accommodation."

  • Great Christmas getaway!

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home...tastefully furnished. Convenient location. Owners were very accessible and immediately addressed a couple of minor issues. My children's only complaint is that they didn't want to leave. :)"

  • Breath Taking Views

"My family and I vacationed to Cedar Rock Cabin for Christmas this year and we had a fabulous time. This cabin was equipt with everything we needed. Fully stocked with plenty of plates, glasses, cooking ware, utensils, small appliances, towels, pillows, blankets, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. Even though we brought our own, the cabin had plenty of games and puzzles for entertainment. Comfortable beds and linens. The views from this cabin are amazing. I was in shock when I got out of my vehicle and turned around. I literally gasped. I am a Florida girl so not much mountain scenery to enjoy. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was no wifi, so cell service was in and out depending on cloud coverage, and the drive up the mountain. I highly recommend a 4WD vehicle (which we had), and do not attempt to drive on or off the mountain after sunset. Visibility is very limited in the dark and even worse with fog. I highly recommend getting all your grocery's and supplies first, once you get there you will not want to leave. We visited the Biltmore Estate in Asheville during our stay and in total once getting down the mountain was about an hour+ trip. Not much to do in the area of the cabin, there is a cute little town with shops and food close for a day trip off 74, but any other major entertainment would be in Asheville. Great cabin for a getaway from the hussle and bussle of everything."
