  • Amazing mountain home

"We spent our family vacation in this beautiful property near Lake Lure, NC. We traveled with three teenage boys and the layout of the house was perfect for them because they had their own separate living area in the basement, including a full bath, pool table, and TV. This area is gorgeous and there's so much fun and adventure for all ages. Access to the resort was a plus to enjoy swimming, a work out or massage, or a nice soak in the hot tub. The boys loved the mini-golf! If you want a quiet day by the pool, try the much less populated Apple Valley Pool. The house is very well equipped with everything you need, including fishing gear and kayaks. We were able to relax at home if we wanted, or venture out to Chimney Rock, Asheville, Hendersonville, and beyond. We booked a zipline and rafting trip north of Asheville in Madison County, which was only about one hour away. I highly recommend the French Broad Adventure Company. The owners were always available and responsive to our questions and the home was beautifully cleaned and ready for our arrival. There are several restaurants close by, but I recommend venturing into Asheville or Hendersonville for some of the local food scene. The local grocery chain, Ingles, is two miles from the home and is one of the best stocked regional grocery stores I've seen in some time."

  • Beautiful views in a tree top home and great lake fun on the boat and at the dock!

"This home with its three levels was perfect for three generations of our family, providing just enough privacy, but plenty of spaces for coming together. Sitting on either of the two levels of patios was relaxing and provided great views. Everything we needed - from beach towels to pots and pans to ice in the freezer - was readily available for us to enjoy our week. The number of steps down to the dock were a bit of a surprise, but we found that those in our group that could not do that many steps were able to meet the boat by driving to a nearby marina. Having the pontoon boat was a big plus for enjoying the lake. The dock location in a quiet, no wake cove was great for just floating in the water or sitting in the comfortable chairs at the dock with the mid-July weather being perfect for such activities. Having the kayaks ready to use from the dock was terrific, too. The home was spic and span clean with plenty of towels and linens. The night before we arrived, storms had knocked out the cable and wifi, but Tim immediately responded to our phone call, and through some more calls on his end, had everything up and running for us within an hour. We appreciated Tim for being helpful and informative throughout the process of booking his house, too. Great tips were given on where to eat and what to do in the area. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed our time together at this wonderful place on Lake Lure."

  • Perfect for our family vacation

"We stayed 5 nights at Pinnacle Peaks and thought it was the perfect vacation home for our family. We had 6 adults and 8 children and were very comfortable with the overall cleanliness, sleeping arrangements, common areas and kitchen. The pool and lake area were nice as well. We would definitely return to this same spot in the future. My only suggestion is to maybe bring extra bath towels if you have a large group because there weren't very many there and the dryer took a while to get things dry. Otherwise, it was great!"

  • Confortable Mountain Retreat

"A comfortable stay in a well maintained mountain home. We were in the area for a family reunion. The resort amenities were perfect for our short stay. (swimming pool, beach, restaurant, etc.) A relatively new grocery store was about 20 minutes away."
