  • Just right!

"Very comfortable classic lake cabin. Plenty of room for the nine people in our family. It had everything we needed, and was very relaxing. It's located on a quiet cove which was great for floating around, jumping off the boathouse, canoeing, or talking with the neighbors. The owner is just the sweetest person who truly wants you to enjoy your stay. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Great Visit

"Nice stay, Nice cabin, I would recommend upgrading the Televisions with maybe 32 inch flat screens, only because the kids like to watch Tv at night time and the older models color and clarity is off. The fridge didn`t seem to stay cold enough for milk, minor issues, If I didn't have children I probably wouldn't have even notice these things. Other than that Great Visit, Owners seem really nice,I would recommend."

  • Excellent & beyond what was advertised!

"What this house boasts is something hard to describe and not easily achieved: an honest family vibe that dates back many years (to 1969, I think). Nothing fancy but absolutely comfortable, workable, and genuine. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and so besides easy access to good restaurants (and a couple of hidden rope swings!), we had many days of looking at other houses on the lake. Poole Hall is unusual, as far as we can tell, because it has a beach of sorts. The newer houses--luxe as they might be--tend to have their sunning areas on top of a boathouse rather than close to the water, maybe because they are built on less desirable sites. To me, that means hot, hot, hot & a long descent to the water. Poole Hall is also situated so that you don't have a sense of other people around you. How cool is that? We are very glad we chose this property, & we hope to come back next year."

  • Family Vacation 2016 Lake Lure

"Celebrated our parents 50th wedding anniversary by having everyone vacation together. Our group of 11 consisted of ages ranging from 70’s to as young as 10. Everyone had a great time! This home provided everything we could need. It was spacious but very comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table and paddle ball. The view was breathtaking and we saw deer each day along with wild turkeys and several times of birds. The kitchen provided everything needed. Enjoyed walks around the site and for any future guest, know that if you pass the house and keep going, you end up back where you started. It’s a great 30 minute walk. The location provided our family with so much to do. Needed more than a week to do it all but at the end of our trip, we agreed, for us the most fun was day on the pontoon boat and tubing on the Green River. We truly had a fantastic trip and many fun memories."
