  • Family Reunion Jul 2-9, 2016

"Our family gathered for a reunion and to celebrate my 80th birthday, they came from Ausralia, Boston, Salt lake, Perkasie PA and Davidson NC, and Hendersonville NC. We had 14 adults and one year old baby.Everyone agreed that the house was perfect. The bedrooms were comfortable and stunning, the dining room accommodated all 15 of us and the had all the utensils that we needed to prepare and serve our meals. We enjoyed hiking up to Chimney Rock, playing miniature golf right next door, sitting on the deck and enjoying the sight and sounds of the Rocky Broad River, We took cruises on Lake Lure , enjoyed its tennis courts and beach, played foot golf and zip-lined, and shopped in the stores. Rondi, the owner, was helpful and a gracious host. Great place for gatherings."

  • Lake Lure Family Retreat

"Our extended family of 10 spent 4 nights in this Lake Lure house. Very comfortable, everything we needed. Great layout with downstairs suite. Lots of space for 3 families to spread out and 2 kitchens. We made good use of the extra fridge. The kitchen is very well stocked with all utensils, pots, pans etc one would need. The house sits practically on the lake, something we learned to appreciate after touring the lake and seeing the walk downs a lot of homes have. Nice sitting area on the dock, shaded and a fan. Swimming was awesome for the kids/adults. Bring noodles but they supply a number of floatables. Can't beat this for a big group."

  • This was the perfect quick get away for my wife and me.

"We came in on a Tuesday and left on Thursday. Basically had the whole lodge and pool to ourselves . Beautiful and quiet . We hope to visit again."

  • Lovely setup for multigenerational family

"This property was perfect for our 3-generation family of 6. The home is right on the lake, with a lakeside deck. We particularly liked the gathering spaces - sofa and chairs around the fireplace and an open area overlooking the lake. There's a large master suite as well as two smaller rooms with double beds. There is not a large dining area - there's a bar setup and a smallish bar-height table - which might have been more of a problem if we were all trying to sit down for formal meals. The owners responded quickly to our questions, even on Thanksgiving. The stairs down to the entry could be tricky for less agile guests to negotiate. The street is almost at roof level of the house. Like most properties in the area, there is a fairly long staircase down to the main entrance, and there are some uneven spots. Overall, a lovely space with pretty much everything we needed!"
