  • Charming condo in the mountains

"The property was fantastic and conveniently close to Beech Mountain. Nice deck that overlooks the mountain range is a treat. Would definitely stay again."

  • Great place to stay

"Thanks Connie the cabin was wonderful my wife and I were looking for a place to stay from which we could explore the area. What we found is we liked the cabin and the setting best of all. from feeding the animals to relaxing in the hot tub we found the secluded nature of the property to be very appealing. we felt like we were the only cabin within miles."

  • Comfortable and clean

"The house is nice, lots of seating, speedy internet. We met the owner and his wife, who were very accommodating. We fit two families, mine and my brother-in-law's, into the home for our stay (one upstairs, one down). Kitchen had pretty much anything you'd need for cooking. Washer and dryer downstairs. Expect to have to drive pretty much anywhere you want to go, but the house is a good central starting point to a number of different areas. We took little driving excursions to Linville Falls, Grandfather Mountain (where the line was so long to get in that we left), which were both quite close, and Blowing Rock, Mount Mitchell, and Watauga Lake (which were quite a bit farther). The "Linville Land Harbor" is a nice development with a golf course there. It's a pretty area to walk around, but not much to see. There was a grill that we used; it worked well."

  • Awesome retreat for ministry Board of Directors

"It's amazing how effective meetings can be when in the right environment. VERY conducive to relaxed discussion and decisions. The nearby walking trails by the river added a lot, the small waterfalls were an unexpected blessing. Spacious conference room, and so easy to show the laptop display on the wall. The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for a group, loved the long dining table. Everyone had plenty of access to bathrooms. I guess the only way I could see to enhance the experience was to do this in winter so I could go skiing (ha ha), but the trails more than made up for that."
