  • Great Family Vacation

"We loved our week at A Summer Night's Dream. We are from Ohio, my Parents live in Florida, so The Outer Banks was a perfect semi-midpoint for us to meet. We are so glad we chose Corolla! The neighborhood the house is located in is Crown Point. It is a really great location. You can walk to the community pool, you can walk to restaurants, grab breakfast at a local coffee shop, or get Lighthouse B agels (YUM) and you can take the super short walk over to the beach! The owners provide kids beach toys, boogie boards and some short beach chairs for you to use during your stay, and they have a hose to rinse off the sand upon your return from the beach. The spaces in the home are comfortable, and the "Captains Watch" is a great spot to greet a new day. We dealt with Tropical Storm Bonnie for part of the week, and had fun anyway playing games, watching some of the provided DVDs, and adventuring with our umbrellas in the Nature Preserve area near Carova. The homeowners make themselves available to you and are quick to answer any questions you may have. It was really nice that my parents could have the master suite off the living room and My family of 5 could take over the downstairs area, and there were plenty of bathrooms. Kids could nap, while the rest of us were in the main living area. The kitchen is also well stocked with dishes."

  • Crown Point 6 bedroom vacation rental

"We rented this house mid July 2016 for 8 adults and 2 children. The house was very pretty on the inside and relatively clean with new carpets and laminate flooring. But we had some issues that weren't addressed as quickly as we would have liked. The upstairs A/C unit died on us the first day we arrived, and it took 3 days for the rental agency to finally bring us some window units. An HVAC company came out 4 times, too. Not sure why it took so many times to try to fix it, but it turned out that a new unit was needed and replaced after we left. So we ended up having to use the window units for the duration of our stay. Thankfully it cooled off the living room and the king master bedroom well enough. The house itself was decorated nicely and we appreciated each bedroom having it's own bathroom. But for a six bedroom house, the living area and kitchen are a bit small, especially the kitchen area around the fridge and dining table. I wouldn't recommend more than 10 people in the house even though it can sleep 16. The location to the beach is pretty good, too. Not a far walk at all. Overall, the house and pool area are nice, but small. It's not a grand home, but for the price, it is a good bargain. It also has a very nice 55 inch Smart LED TV in the living room. Much appreciated. Also the rental company did reimburse us some money for the A/C issue so we're happy with them. I would recommend, just don't pack it with too many people."

  • Christmas fun!

"First off, Outerbanks Blue did a great job! They actually found this house for our family and small dog to enjoy! I would use them again without hesitation! The house itself was perfect for us! There are a lot of stairs (3 floors), but we all joked that if we lived there, none of us would be out of shape! We rented the house over Christmas break. It would have been nice to have used the gas fireplace, but it wasn't working. However, that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the home! It is amazingly close to the beach, but again a lot of stairs to climb to go over the dune to get there. We didn't mind though. Would be difficult though if you have someone who has physical limitations. We hope to return next year if it works out for us!"

  • Great home, great location

"Home is within walking distance to the beach, and is very close to restaurants and shopping--you can walk to them or bike. Home had two functional bikes, which were fun to take on the bike path that runs North-South through almost all of Corolla. House has lots for kids to do--board games, video games, fusball table, near pool. And is great for adults--nice patios for drinking coffee etc outside, and easy view to the pool. We were 5 adults, 4 boys. This is a great place. We plan to come back."
