  • Ideal Location

"Superb location, in a very spacious house. Had a great weekend with friends in the house. Prime location enabled walking to get coffee in the mornings and walking to dinner at night. Being adjacent to the campus allowed for enjoying the local arts and craft show, running on the track, and frequent white squirrel sightings. The house is also just a short drive from Pisgah and DuPont. Would highly recommend it."

  • Excellent Location - Very Comfortable

"We come up from Charleston to bike and hike in Dupont Forest often during the summer. This location off of Reasonover Road was perfect. We biked during the day, swam in Fawn Lake in the afternoon, cooked out on the grill and relaxed in hot tub in the evenings. The Nuthouse is so nice with the large front porch and very comfortable furnishings. Three times during the weekend we saw wild turkeys along the neighborhood road, very exciting. This place is perfect for your mountain getaway. The owner is a Friend of Dupont and we learned so much about Dupont State Forest from literature inside, that we have decided to buy a place nearby. It's where we want to be. Thanks Helen for letting us stay with you."

  • Perfect place for family getaway

"Beautiful, clean, newly renovated cabin with all the comforts of home and very tastefully decorated. Fully stocked kitchen made cooking & grilling at home a pleasure. Nothing says peaceful like morning coffee on the deck watching the mist hover over the quiet lake...except maybe s'mores or a glass of wine around the fire pit under a sky full of stars. Hiking, boating, and fishing are all terrific, as is just laying around in the hammock. Must side trips include a short drive to a beautiful waterfall and a visit to Brevard, a great town with a lot going on; restaurants, festivals, and quaint shops everywhere. This was a perfect getaway for our family of four and we can't wait to go back."
