  • Lovely cabin

"The cabin is very nice. My wife especially loved all the various décor items because it made it feel so homey and country."

  • Beautiful Home, beautiful mountains, all you could ask for.

"We just returned from "Charlaire" for a New Years trip to the mountains. The home is beautiful and has a very "comfy" feeling, very clean and well maintained. Both owner and manager were pleasure to work with. The beds are awesome and plenty of them. The guys loved the office and called it their man cave. The main floor half bath was a real plus and we were able to park in the garage which doesn't usually happen in a rental. We spent a lot of time sitting in front of the fireplace and just hanging out. We saw deer every day, and even saw a "white Squirrel" in Brevard. The hiking trails in the community are really well maintained and the falls are spectacular. We were able to easily make trips to Beech Mountain for skiing, Asheville, and Dupont Forest(multiple beautiful falls on well maintained trails). In Brevard, we recommend Mayberry's for the short rib grilled cheese. We ate there two times and took sandwiches to go when we were leaving to return home. We cooked at the house most of the time in the well stocked kitchen, everything you will ever need is there. All in all this was a wonderful trip in a beautiful place. This home is definitely on our "return to" list."

  • Clean, well-maintained & lovely

"If I could, I would try to convince the owner to sell me this sweet cabin with its two octagonal windows, Laura-Ingles-ish loft, tree-branch stair railings, cozy wood stove and view-packed balcony. I love this cabin. I loved the stained glass window. I loved the bathroom cabinet that pullls down like a tiny murphy bed. I loved that the cabin is dog-friendly but also clean - a rare combination. I also loved that the owner confined his detailed instructions in a handy email as well as a hard-copy booklet (in the cabin) rather than posting a zillion little instructional signs around the cabin as rentals often do. I also appreciated how helpful the customer-service savvy owner was when we unfortunately had car troubles during our stay. And I've never seen such a tidy basement. I really do want to live in this cabin forever. We did almost all the hikes the owner recommended in the booklet and loved them all especially the waterfall-packed hikes at DuPont State Forest. Thank you for giving me and my kids such a refreshing post-Christmas holiday break."

  • Beautiful home!

"We enjoyed our Christmas week at this wonderful mountain retreat. We didn't end up using the amenities of Connestee Falls, but would love to return at a warmer time of year to do so. The house is on a cul-de-sac & overlooks the golf course/club house. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck (although chilly) & watch the sun come up in the morning...beautiful! We used the heck out of the beautiful stone fireplace and were even provided with firewood. We had a few minor issues, but found out we were the very first guests of "Camp W". Overall we had a great stay & would definitely recommend!"
