  • Lovely vacation, Felt right at home

"Property was lovely and house is clean and cozy and suited our family of four just fine. Many of the necessities were provided such as soaps, garbage bags, laundry, and even shampoo and conditioner in the shower! Our two boys had fun on the 3 bridges that crossed the creek to the house. Dog-friendly accommodations that even included dog bowls and a doggy place mat and the back property provided roaming area and nice walks, though somewhat limited. I give the house and accommodations 5 stars but I did put 4 stars because it was not as secluded as we would have preferred. The home sits right off the paved road and you do see neighboring homes so that was somewhat of a concern when letting our mutt roam free. The property behind the home is lovely to walk but the trails/roads are rather short. My husband was a bit disappointed that he couldn't fish on the property as the creek was very low, a mere trickle (we stayed in Oct) and the pond was small and without fish but our small boys loved "fishing" with their poles and our dog enjoyed taking dips (I recommend bringing a dark colored towel if you bring a dog... I ended up buying one at Walmart to wipe red clay off her paws after walks/swims). Overall it is a lovely place to stay. We got some great photos and it is centrally located and priced fair. I highly recommend, especially for families. April is super quick to respond to questions. Thank you so much to the Sgro's for sharing your property with us. We enjoyed our stay!"

  • Perfect in every way!

"To say this home was my home away from home is an understatement. It was perfect in every way. It truly felt like my home. It was stocked with everything my large family of 9 needed for nine wonderful days in an upscale, private resort. Wouldn't change a thing about this lovely home! The owners seem like world class travelers due to the photographs in the home."

  • Second time as good as the first

"This is the second time our family has stayed at Nestledown. It was exactly as we remembered it - comfortable, peaceful, and convenient. A true home away from home. The hot tub and new grill were just icing on the cake. We enjoyed lounging on the front and back porches, short trips to both Cashiers, Highlands and even Asheville, and all day breezes through open windows. We'll be back."
