"We had a wonderful family reunion at cabin #7, with 8 seniors, 8 young adults, and 4 very young children. It was a wonderful space for a reunion. With three decks and two living rooms, there were plenty of opportunities to hang out together, or for 2s and 3s to have private conversations, or for individuals to get time to take a break from the crowd and get some space. Also, the cabin is only an 8 minute drive from Pinecrest Lake, so we went there every day. Having two kitchens helped a lot -- When someone wanted to cook a complex meal they could just go to the downstairs kitchen. The dining room worked perfectly -- room for everyone to eat together when we wanted that. And kids had crafts projects going on the picnic table on the deck right outside the dining room. The beds were all very good and relatively new. As well everything was extremely clean. Hardwood-style floors and steam cleaning meant there there was no mildew or dust, which we especially appreciated in an older house. The bunk house was the same way. In addition, most of the decks are shaded by the trees on the property, and there is a swamp cooler which helps keep a lot of the rooms cool. We were lucky to have perfect weather during our week there (high of 82). The property manager, Darlene, was very good to us and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Darlene and cabin #7 for a wonderful week!"
