  • Perfect for family reunion

"This is the second year we six adults have gathered here for a perfect reunion. Each couple has their separate bathroom (nice luxury), and excellent, comfortable beds (you can hear the ocean). Walking distance to the beach and downtown. We bought fresh fish at the seafood market and prepared delicious meals in the full size kitchen. Enjoyed eating out at so many wonderful restaurants, too. This has been our favorite gathering spot - George and Jean have made this a wonderful haven to share. Excellent value!!!"

  • It deserves more than 5 stars!!!

"My family just returned home after spending a week at this wonderful beach house. When it says ocean front home, it really means it...literally, about 15 stair steps to the beach which are located right next to the deck. We walked to Haystack Rock, Mo's, and enjoyed a fire on the beach right below the deck. The beach was never even close to feeling crowded. The location can not be beat! The house was fabulous. It was comfortable the moment you walked inside. The pictures do NOT do it justice. The bathrooms are very spacious with separate tub/shower, toilet, and vanity areas both on the main floor and upstairs. The downstairs bathroom is great too. The amenities are amazing. We weren't sure what to expect so we ended up packing a few more items than we really needed. The kitchen is fully stocked, games, sand/beach toys are there too. Anything forgotten at home, they had at the beach house so it didn't matter. The layout allowed us to have our own space without that feeling of too much togetherness. The remodeling was extensive. There is a photo album which shows the remodeling process. It is obvious this is a very well loved and sentimental home. It reminded me of visits to my grandparents cabin and that homey feeling experienced. Another thing that stood out was the cleanliness. There was not ANY dust and the windows were beautifully cleaned. My 2 year old granddaughter dropped a toy behind one of the couches which required me to pull the couch away from the was spotless under the couch too which is not always the case at other places we have stayed. The next door neighbor was very friendly and gave us suggestions on various things from getting groceries to sightseeing ideas. We spent one day away when we went to Tillamook which was fun but we decided it was better to just stay at the beach house so we didn't go anywhere else. This was our first trip to the Oregon coast and it did not disappoint. The owners were great to work with and we felt it was priced very well, especially considering we went during the peak season. Everyone in our family was so pleased and commented many times how wonderful the house, beach, and location was simply AMAZING and we are planning to return!!!"

  • Quiet hide-away in heaven!

"This cottage is accurately represented w/the site's photos. The cottage is comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. The deck overlooking a natural area is a wonderful, restful place to relax, read a book and just absorb nature. Cindy met us as we arrived, and answered our questions, and even offered lattice panels to help secure the deck, so that our pups could come and go outside without wandering off. The cottage, though very comfortable, is not out of house beautiful, however - furnishings are on the funky side - rather adds to its uniqueness. It was clean and well maintained. We did truly miss TV (no AM news!) and Internet - of course, one can always walk the 10 minutes to town and use public Internet. All in all, staying here was a plus, and we would certainly consider coming back to the same place. Cannon Beach is a wonderful, wonderful place to visit - don't miss Evo (make reservations long in advance); the shops are terrific (if you like fabrics, don't miss Center Diamond), and be sure that you spend time at Indian Beach in Ecola state park!!!"
