  • Lived up to the hype!

"My wife and I celebrated our 15th anniversary and could not ask for a better setting. As frequent visitors to Charleston, we like to try new places. But I am not sure we can top this place. Not only is this a superb location, but the owners have done a great job making these studios look great. My wife immediately was impressed. The photos do not speak to how quaint this place is. My suggestion would be to go with some friends. Have them rent the downstairs unit. You will have the entire place to yourselves. Perfect location, great parking, great accommodations and great value. We are sure to keep this on our list of repeat places."

  • Perfect Place in Charleston

"Stayed several nights with two friends, thus occupying both rooms at Merhaven, making the shared bathroom arrangement very easy. Great location, charming accommodations, most pleasant stay!"

  • Wonderful stay at Charlotte Street Cottage

"If you are looking for a quiet, historic, lovely cottage this is place! The host left us a beautiful basket of goodies for our stay and we felt very at home. The cottage was perfect for the 3 of us. One queen bedroom and one bedroom with two twins. We had plenty of space and enjoyed our stay. The only things to be aware of is it is a 10-15 walk to the city center. It is very close to the the Charleston Visitor Center and the grocery store. We are walkers so we were fine with this. Also this is an old restored cottage so you can hear everything ( when my mom woke up super early, I could hear her moving around downstairs). We had a wonderful stay in Charleston and at the Cottage."

  • True Charlestown Charm!

"Since I had never been to Charlestown before, I wanted to absorb as much history, art, and architecture as possible… so we truly hit the ground running! We took bus tours, boat tours, walking tours, and even a few tours of our own in this Holy City! Bicycling on Legare Street and down to East Bay Street at night was a highlight along with dinner at Circa 1886, cocktails at the Rooftop, and casual dining at Coast and lunch at the Blind Tiger Pub. Of course a huge part of our experience in Charleston was staying in the heart of the historic district on Buck Street. I loved the French Antiques, comfortable sofa and chairs, and decor of this stately flat. The character of the building itself was fascinating. So yes, I highly recommend staying in this flat especially if you have an eye for discerning taste and an appreciation of authenticity."
