  • relaxing vacation with a few disappointments

    "Overall this is a nice location. Plenty of bike paths and accessible to restaurants and shopping. Proximity to the beach is also a plus.The great room is lovely. The layout is perfect, warm designer colors. Dining area is close to the great room and kitchen. Master bedroom has a nice view of the ocean and a gorgeous new bathroom with two shower heads. Comfortable beds and ceiling fan make sleeping perfect. We had planned this vacation to determine whether we might want to come to Hilton Head more frequently in the winter as it is 25 degrees warmer than up north. However, the unit was missing several things we felt should have been provided to make for a comfortable vacation. I called the management office and was told in a very officious tone that "we never provide those things". No hair dryers in 2016?! He said I obviously have never been to Hilton Head before because most people drive and bring their own beach chairs, beach towels, and hairdryers. Since our home address was not within driving distance, I felt a pre-arrival package with more information would have been helpful. I might not have rented had I known these were not amenities of the property. After several complaints the office brought over cooking supplies that were missing, steak knives, and a hair dryer "belonging to someone in the office." In the cool weather it is impossible to use the hot tub unless you have a bathrobe or a beach towel to keep you warm on the long walk back. The second bathroom is original and needs to be updated. The washer and dryer are VERY noisy and their proximity to the great room makes it hard to watch TV while they are on. The refrigerator is older and should be replaced with one that has a water filter. The ice cubes were unusable due to their odor. A new refrigerator that makes cubes with filtered water is needed. The lighting in the great room is too dim to make it possible to read in the evenings. The property manager did bring over higher wattage light bulbs so that we could read. Overall, I would give the property a 4 and the manager a 3 rating. His customer service tone was missing. We own properties and perhaps have higher expectations than people who do not own. But I would not want him to manage my property."

  • Awesome First Floor Condo

    "My wife and I have stayed at this beautiful condo three different times. The owners are super accommodating. Our last visit was unfortunately cut short due to the mandatory evacuation caused by Hurricane Matthew. Without hesitation, Kathie and Rich refunded us a prorated portion of our rental costs. We had friends who stayed in another condo and both their rental company and the owners refused to give them any refund or credit towards a future rental. Needless to say, we've already booked our return to this condo for next September."

  • A Perfect Fit

    "Hilton Head is our annual go-to during the summer with the kids & extended family and a few years ago my husband and I started going for our anniversary/fall getaway. We have always struggled to find a place that fits our needs. I wish I could have all the wasted money from hotels back because this condo fit our needs perfectly! We arrived to a clean condo with an airy ocean feel. We spent lots of time on the balcony enjoying the view & the breeze. The kitchen was well stocked. The bedroom & master bath were very clean and well supplied with starter toiletries. The shower is slightly on the small side but not a big deal. We love that there was minimal clutter in regards to furniture & decor. We will be back!!"

  • Exactly what we needed!

    "This condo was very convenient and exactly what we needed! I love the Good Vacation app also! Anything we needed to know was right at our fingertips. We had a small issue when we were there but I requested someone to come out (through the app). They were there in no time, fixed the problem and were on their way. We will definitely stay here again and will definitely use Good Vacation Rentals."
