"Nice unit. View was just okay, trees blocked view of ocean but just believe the pictures before you rent. You are staying in a really nice neighborhood though and paying a little less, so the compromise was worth it. We do agree with other comments about towels - not enough really for a whole week for three people. That may be more of the rental management requirement though. We purchased 4 cheap bath towels at Walmart to get us through the week, but we have had to do that at other rental properties as well. It's a roomy unit so you aren't right on top of each other like other one bedrooms would be. The fold out bed is nothing to write home about, so will work great for a child or teen, but not someone with back or hip issues. Another comment made was about room darkening curtains, that change was made and we found it very comfortable in the mornings, but we wanted to get up relatively early (8 am was sleeping in for us) to enjoy the beach in the mornings. Kitchen was well equipped, I would suggest to add a true Chef knife, rather than all steak knives. All the knives need to be sharpened though, they were quite dull (probably because renters put them in the dishwasher). It was nice to have dish detergent, an extra trash bag, and a few Tide pods as well. So those items are nice touches. We would rent this place again, but if we needed more beds, we would most definitely stay in a Windsor unit again. And you can't go wrong with Palmetto Dunes. It was a vacation to remember- active yet relaxing."

  • Exactly what we needed!

"This condo was very convenient and exactly what we needed! I love the Good Vacation app also! Anything we needed to know was right at our fingertips. We had a small issue when we were there but I requested someone to come out (through the app). They were there in no time, fixed the problem and were on their way. We will definitely stay here again and will definitely use Good Vacation Rentals."

  • Great location on a lovely part of Hilton Head Island

"This is a great location in a lovely part of Hilton Head Island. The condo is steps from a great, well-maintained pool with facilities for grilling in a covered pavilion. Take a few more steps and you are on a wide sandy beach. There is a great view from the condo and the layout is well designed. The owner provided very clear directions for access to the complex, the condo, and the pool/beach as you need codes for all. One suggestion we could make, for people who arrive via flight (as compared to driving to HHI), is to have info on beach rentals available in advance of travel there. We did not have that info and the beach lifeguard, who also handles beach rentals, told us she had rented out all the beach chairs and umbrellas to customers who booked in advance. We did not bring those items with us. We enjoyed walks along the beach, but having the info on rentals would be a nice option. Other rental companies on HHI that we contacted, told us they weren't able to rent to us as it wasn't allowed by the complex. It really wasn't that big of a deal since the pool was so nice, but is a suggestion to consider. We had a very relaxing week and loved the location!"

  • Best relaxing vacation again for the second year!!

"We stayed at the same exact condo as last year. The resort and the pool area make you feel like you are on a Caribbean island! We rented beach umbrellas and bikes for the week. The bike trails are beautiful and I rode the bike to get groceries a few times it is very relaxing. The skull Creek grille is a must! Go right before sunset, it is perfect pictures. So much to do if you want in area. I enjoyed grilling steaks and corn and potatoes. The dune buggy transportation is great if you don't want to drive."
