"My family stayed here during our spring break from school. The location was great, not that far from downtown Gatlinburg. Places to eat and do a little locale shopping and attractions. The kids enjoyed the hot tub. We hope to be able to stay here again in the future."

  • Good house

"The house was lovely! Very neat and clean. However, we were unable to enjoy the deck and hot tub like we wanted because the house is obviously having some severe septic problems. There is drainage all down the driveway and the smell was horrible every time anyone used the toilet or showered. Really put a huge damper on our trip. Emails to the owners about the problems were unreturned, which our entire group felt was very irresponsible and disrespectful. As least some acknowledgment of the problem and our dissatisfaction would have been nice. Owners are very hard to get in touch with. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone, if they fix the septic problems and work on their communication."

  • Moutain home

"Upon arrival the first thing we discovered was that the locked gate wasn't locked, in fact it was wide open and could not be closed. So just know you do not have to have any codes to enter the property. Walking into to the house our first thought was, this isn't what we were expecting. We didn't realize it would be so old. But in no time we began to fall in love with our surroundings. The property is beautiful, with winding trails around the property, multiple swings tucked in among the trees, stone path to the lake. The cabin was comfortably informal, inviting and cozy, Everywhere we looked there were items of interest to point out to others. Here are a few things we noticed about our stay that I would have wanted to know ahead of time. Everything squeaks, so for people with early risers and folks that like to sleep in, that could be a problem. The loft bedroom is small and has very low ceilings, fine for kids but the stairs up to the loft are unique but hard for smaller kids to maneuver. The lake is beautiful, we spent many hours there and we loved it. There isn't a boat at the property so we rented a boat for the day. A bonus we experienced was our "vacation dog". A lovely hound dog, Dixie, visited us daily and occasionally brought her sidekick Sadie. We feel in love with these dogs. They were good, sweet dogs and we missed them when we left. Pigeon Forge is about 20 minutes away and Gatlinburg about 50 minutes. We visited Gatlinburg for a day and enjoyed lunch at The Pancake Pantry. The best dinner we had was at Fat Tony's. So I hope this helps you decide if you want to rent this cabin or not. We would go back in a minute. P.S. Would have been nice to have a mixer available. Hot tub was wonderful!"

  • Lovely mountain top cabin easily accessible from Gatinburg with 2 bedrooms, great deck, & hot tub

"We very much enjoyed using this cabin as our home base for 6 days worth of hiking in The Smokys. Day 1 a large bear ambled up the driveway and paid us no attention. Never saw him again, but what a treat. The drive up the mountain is half the experience. Narrow, steep road adds to feel of being "Away from it all." Although there are neighbors you hear from time to time, you really can't see their homes. The deck view is nice, but doesn't capture the full view of surrounding mountains, because of high trees. That's probably different in the winter. The cabin is well appointed with everything needed and the pool table is an added bonus (bring your own chalk). Clean bathrooms, washer/dryer, comfortable beds, great spaces for gathering throughout added to the week's enjoyment. We had so much fun, we totally missed our checkout day and the management company was very understanding and accommodating. We hope to return."
