  • Great experience

"Our family had a great time. The condo is quite nice & has a terrific location on the bay side. The beach was just a short golf cart ride away & we really enjoyed the bay with the kayaks. Our 10 & 13 yr olds enjoyed the games & movies too. Thanks for providing a lovely setting for our vacation."

  • Perfect end to the summer

"From check-in to check-out, our stay at Cacablanca exceeded our expectations. The property was in great shape, very clean, well furnished, and included amenities that made it feel like home. The only issue we had was with the wi-fi connection, which did not work, but that meant we had to treat our trip like a vacation and not let work interfere (a blessing in disguise, as it turned out). Our 4 year old son loved the pool with a lazy river, which was just a short walk from the condo. The beach was clean and not crowded. We walked to it one day and drove on the beach another (be careful not to drive where it's prohibited). If you like fishing, the bay is practically out your back door. We saw people wade fishing in waste-deep water all day, every day. We liked the fact that the condo was a good distance out of Galveston because it meant less traffic. It was no problem making the short drive to Galveston to take in the typical tourist attractions. However, we loved the restaurants and stores closer to the condo. Our family found Shrimp 'n Stuff, a food truck in Jamaica Beach, to have excellent seafood. Nate's, also in Jamaica Beach, is always a good choice for seafood, steak, or burgers (just bring your patience, the service can be slow, which is part of its charm). If you want good pizza, we liked the Blue Water Grill (Jamaica Beach). And, of course, the Point (a restaurant that services the condo community) was an excellent option. Because you're on an island, expect to pay a bit more for food. We found, however, that the food was always of high quality (no one wants to pay more just to eat bad food). Our stay was memorable for any number of reasons. For that we are grateful to the owners for sharing their small piece of paradise with us. We will definitely be back again."

  • Family Vacation

"We had a total of 17 people, 10 kids the rest adults from a baby to 16 years old. The house was spacious, lived in and comfortable. With having so many children, the majority from 4-10 years, it was nice not to have to worry that they wouldn't break something. The house had plenty of towel, dishes, bedding and LOTS of sand toys/boards. Beds and bunk beds were comfy and we had kids on the futons. Some of the pans are a little rough but we still were able to cook what we needed with them. The deck was awesome to relax and watch the kids play in the sand. Previous reviews complained about the lack of garbage bag/toilet paper but if they were given the same check in information I was given they would have know to bring or buy ahead. We took all of the bedding to a laundry mat that opened early and that expedited our check out process. Everything was exactly as described and Jennifer was wonderful. We communicated via text and my deposit was in my account promptly. We had the best time and will come back again."
