  • Piece of Heaven on the Eastern Shores

"Our stay at Snug Harbor was amazing. The first night we stayed in a One Bedroom, and the second night our two kids joined us so we moved to a Two Bedroom. It was a very easy transition for the second night. The Cottages were both wonderful, spacious and very very clean. The view was incredible! Sitting on the dock at night was so peaceful and coffee outside in the morning was a great way to start the day. This is a little peace of heaven tucked away on the back of Chincoteague that I would highly recommend. Another highlight was the sunset boat tour. The pontoon was roomy and comfortable and the captain was full of great info about the islands. We even had a pod of dolphins start to swim and jump in the water next our boat at one point! WOW! My one and only suggestion is that if you are under 5'3 tall you bring a mirror along - the bathroom mirror was definitely hung by a much taller person. Thank you Basia and team for sharing your cottages and your island with us!"

  • Spinnaker was perfect.

"We loved the Spinnaker for a special joint celebration for my parents 60th birthdays. The house layout was perfect for the three different family groups (ages 3-60) as each essentially had their own area with a spacious, beautifully laid out living room for when we all were together. The four bedrooms and four bathrooms were spotless and well appointed and having a full sized washer and dryer was definitely a plus. The kitchen had everything we could have wanted or needed in terms of appliances, utensils, dishes, pots and pans. The kitchen was flanked on one side by a dining room with lovely natural lighting and a wonderful view of the the bay. On the other side of the kitchen was a screened porch with a picnic table and additional patio dining set for four, also with a panoramic view of the bay. Despite the rainy weather, we had fun on the waterside dock crabbing with the pots provided (they were delicious) and wished we could have spent more time outside. We would recommend Spinnaker to anyone looking for a unique, well-appointed and maintained vacation spot. The owner was so helpful and easy to work with and the caretaker provided many thoughtful, personal touches that we all appreciated. Thanks for helping our family make fantastic, lifetime memories!"

  • Beautiful, serene home...great for family vacation

"We stayed here over Thanksgiving for 5 nights (and lucked out with the most amazing weather we could've hoped for). We had 7 people--5 adults and 2 kids. We all loved the home. The kitchen (very important for Thanksgiving) was fantastic. It had everything we needed to cook a Thanksgiving meal. It was also large and modern. The large dining table had more than enough seating for all of us. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The decks were awesome--spacious and with great views--we got up nearly every morning to watch the sunrise. The yard was nice and large and flat (although, it would have been nice if the lawn had been mowed...the kids wanted to play soccer but the grass was super long). The dock was spectacular and the view from the end of the dock (particularly in the mornings and evenings) was stunning. The house comes with crab traps and a canoe (be sure to ask for them to be made available prior to arriving). We asked that the canoe be available. However, one small complaint was that although the canoe was there for us to use, they left the oars locked in the garage (the property manager--who is super responsive--came and got them out for us) and there were no life vests. We couldn't take the kids out on the canoe because we didn't have life vests. Sort of a bummer. Lastly, it was an inconvenience that the house does not come with linens and towels (unless you want to pay $200 extra). We flew in from various parts of the country, and bringing sheet sets and towels was sort of annoying. For this type of rental property, I firmly believe linens and towels should be part of the rental. However, it obviously didn't stop us for booking this house, and I'm very glad it didn't. Overall, however, our stay here was amazing. One of the best trips we've taken together. We all enthusiastically agreed that we would absolutely return to Chincoteague and to this house again!"

  • Wonderful spot

"We've stayed at Sandpiper for a couple of years now.... over Thanksgiving week and it's been perfect! It is very nicely furnished and it is situated in our favorite part of Chincoteague. We bike everywhere and you can enjoy both the sunrises and sunsets. Highly recommend Sandpiper.... very well cared for and it is well stocked with everything you need. The layout allows for both community and privacy if you are vacationing with another couple. The owners are wonderful to work with. We'll be back!"
