  • Nice Property Oct. 17-20, 2016

"Plantation with the ponds and fountains is beautiful. Coffee house deck or pond gazebo is a nice place to hang out. 85 degrees but the outdoor pools were closed for the season. Condo is typical condo, sparse decor, not a private home away property. Did not have a whirl pool tub or hot tub as expected. Only the deluxe two bedroom units have that. Quiet during off-season mid-week, but also time for maintenance- lawnmowing, building washing, etc. Convenient access to Williamsburg- about 15 min. to the historic section. We had bikes which was a HUGE convenience at the Colonial village and at the plantation. If you do want to listen to their sales pitch (which we didn't) don't accept their first offer. They'll add more incentives. They offered us $150 visa card and a 2 night, 3 day free stay. Aroma Restaurant in Merchant Square had a delicious Bayou Bash pasta stir fry for $14.99. The 5:00 fifes and drums is a must see. If you are an educator, be sure to ask about educator discounts on Colonial Williamsburg tickets. Enjoy!!!"

  • Nice, clean, close to everything unit.

"This is such a nice unit! Probably just recently remodeled. Wood floor, clean carpets, clean rooms and kitchen. It was more than we expected! The loft with the pull-out sofa bed was perfect for my two kids. The unit is very close to the pools, miniature golfing, and coffee shop. It's practically next door, but it's not noisy at all. The registration desk is a little slow, but the staff are friendly, and we were able to get extra laundry detergents from staff just walking around in the office. In fact, all the staff are super friendly and helpful. The time share push was not bad. We just politely said no (twice, once at registration, once when they called us at the condo). Bob, who manages this unit, is awesome and easy to work with. He responds quickly and answers all our questions. We highly recommend this unit, it's the best place we've stayed during our two weeks trip to the east coast. My kids loved it!"

  • I have always loved Greensprings...

"We have been staying at Greensprings for almost ten years and have always loved the property. Family members own a time share with Diamond Resorts and have been staying in Williamsburg since the 70's. As much as I love Greensprings, I have been disappointed the last few times I've been there. If you stay in certain units, you will find a beautifully renovated unit. The last few times I've booked either through this website or Groupon, the units we've been given have been completed outdated and noticeably different than the other units. This trip, when you walked in the front door there were things stacked up in the hallway that was being used as storage. On your way up the 4 or 5 flights of steps were business cards from a local pizza place actually thrown all over the steps going all the way up. Our refrigerator didn't work properly and wouldn't keep things cold.( We didn't call maintenance only because we didn't want to have to move but from previous experiences, maintenance is always quick to respond and fix things. ) I know it may be petty, but when you've stayed in one of the updated units and then are made to stay in one that isn't, you feel like you're being punished because you purchased your time at a discount from Groupon or VRBO. Positive feedback: Our units have always been very clean. I have never had to call about anything with regards to the cleaning services. The pools are wonderful, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the grounds are beautifully kept. Check in is quick and simple and always done by a pleasant representative. They always ask that you head across the room to the concierge desk to get your "welcome packet" but it is not required and I am not interested in being bothered with time share talks which is ultimately what happens. Again, our family loves what Greensprings offers but I would like to see them update all of the units so everyone can enjoy the perks of staying in a nice, beautiful place whether you are a Diamond member or an outside purchaser."

  • Great place except...

"Well appointed and equipped home, close access to colonial area. Be advised that resort staff is very pushy in trying to arrange a presentation hawking purchase of time share (contacted three times before arrival, at check in, twice during stay). That being said, would definitely stay here again. 5 stars if time share harassment not present."
