  • Wintergreen Chalet - Group Gettaway

"This was a beautiful home, which was very comfortable and spacious. We had multiple families, but it never seemed crowded. It was a perfect setup for group dinners. The large dining room table came in handy. The multiple living room areas enabled people to spread out and relax. The home was very clean and well maintained. The owner was very informative on the house items, as well as attractions in the surrounding area. We would definitely stay again!"

  • Excellent, comfortable, well stocked

"We stayed at Foxfire 6/10/16 thru 6/17/16. The house was just as advertised and more. There is a new beautiful back porch and handicapped ramp which made our stay easier. The house is also handicapped friendly. Our coffee pot broke and Marge quickly replaced it. There are plenty of supplies and utensils to use in the kitchen. You really don't want for anything just buy your food. This house is very close to Wintergreen. And there are plenty of breweries and Wineries in the area. A few minutes from Charlottesville. Sleeping accommodations were comfortable, a standup shower and one tub shower. Also there is a large capacity washer and dryer. There is also a BBQ grill which comes in handi. There are some very nice restaurants in the area close by. All in all we had a great time we were there for our Nieces graduation in Staunton and Foxfire was just close enough. We would definitely book it again."

  • Cabin in the Woods - Relaxing Memorial Day Getaway

"My husband and I along with our dog enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing weekend at Mountain Whisper Cabin over the Memorial Day holiday. The cabin was was well located...close to hiking trails, the river and not far from town for conveniences. We especially enjoyed the screened-in porch where we'd spend the mornings sipping coffee and eating breakfast. While neighboring cabins were close enough that we could hear other people talking, it was comforting knowing that others were nearby. We never got around to using the hot tub or the fire pit although I'm not sure I'd want to sit outside....lots of bugs/mosquitos (expected, of course, when you're in the woods). My only suggestion would be to provide wifi. While the whole reason for us renting the cabin was to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, it would've been nice to have wifi to stream music on our phones without having to do it over cellular coverage which was sketchy out there. Overall, we had a really good time and will likely be back."

  • Lovely and relaxing!

"Well equiped and spacious house. Good place to get away from busy cities during our 3 week roadtrip through Canada-USA. Kids enjoyed the basement (pingpong, darts, Netflix) and outdoor. There was a little problem with access to the house, but it was resolved very quickly by the owners and a neighbour. Because of this little issue they gave us a discount, very generous. Communication was quick and good."
