  • Our Peaceful 5 Weeks at The Cottage @ Spring Lake!

"After driving 2,170 miles to Seattle, WA to celebrate the Christmas Holiday, New Year's Day, & a Monumental Birthday with our daughter & husband, we & our very well behaved dog arrived to The Cottage at Spring Lake. Cell phone texting, which leaves a notation, is wonderful as we could keep in touch with the Jarvis's. So, when we arrived we were greeted by them, genuinely 2 great people and their well behaved dog, Bart. When stepping inside the cottage the warmth of the Jarvis's was evident throughout the cottage. The kitchenette, living room, bedroom, bath, & laundry were thoughtfully stocked and a nice grill is provided on the outside deck. Numerous mornings while enjoying coffee, the view of Mt. Rainier from the living room sliding glass door was breathtaking. We both enjoyed stepping out to the deck, looking over the lake water with our eyes then rising to the beautiful view of Mt. Rainier on a clear day! While we did enjoy driving into Seattle enjoying numerous days & evenings with our daughter & son-in-law, sightseeing trips, etc., it was wonderful to escape the multitude of people, homes tightly spaced in congested neighborhoods & the traffic. We looked so forward to returning to the safe peaceful beauty of the cottage at the very clean Spring Lake! We will return again and are looking forward the next time to enjoy the summer season at the cottage. Until next time, Michael & Robin and of course, Tyson!"

  • Very peaceful and relaxing!

"We rented this house with another family to avoid staying in a local hotel during a baseball tourney. The house was in great shape with everything we needed to prepare all our meals and do some BBQ'ing. With two beds and a pull out, the house easily sleeps 6. The lake access is better than pictured or explained in the ad and we had fun swimming and paddling around the small lake. We had a great time and would book the house again without hesitation."

  • Nice Clean Place in a Great Area

"Although small and 9 people squeezed in (6 adults, 3 kids) we were extremely happy with the place. We are very familiar with Tacoma but have never stayed in this area and we loved it. We were able to sneak away from the kids for a few hours and found some great little hidden gems that we've never been to before. Although everything was pretty much set up properly thank you to Shannon for the hospitality."

  • Amazing place for family reunions or large group vacations.

"The house is HUGE! The kitchen is great and stocked with all the dishes, pots, pans and utensils you could ever need. The large windows let in the mountain view and tons of natural light. Three living areas have ample seating and gathering space and the bar area is a nice place to hang out and watch the game. The bedrooms are isolated from the living areas making them cozy and quiet. There are two large bathrooms with showers and several small bathrooms all around the house. The back yard and patio have lots of chairs and a BBQ grill. There are two decks of the main living room and the bar/pool room with extra seats as well. Overall a great place to stay for family vacations or large group parties."
