  • Peaceful, Private, Perfect Hideaway

"This was our second visit to the Chuckanut Hideaway and it won't be our last! It is the perfect blend of quiet and peaceful while being close to the city of Bellingham for great restaurants, parks and shopping. The Hideaway is cozy, clean and modern with spectacular views of Chuckanut Bay. Although it is a studio, there is plenty of room - comfortable bed, large modern bathroom (complete with a porthole to capture the views) and great furniture on which to spend the afternoon reading and relaxing. Although the kitchen has no oven or stovetop it is well stocked and convenient for preparing light meals and/or snacks. Fairhaven restaurants and coffee shops are just a short drive down the road for larger meals. The small porch is the perfect spot for coffee in the morning or wine in the evening while watching the sunset. So sorry we missed you again this year, Howard!"

  • Aaahhhhh!

"We spent a week here (and in 2 other homes) for a family reunion. What a wonderful home in a beautiful setting! There was pretty much everything you could need in the kitchen and the huge yard and beach were perfect for enjoying the breezes and sunshine! Being so close to the ferry was a great convenience and the house felt like the perfect beach house. Would definitely go back!"

  • Magical sunsets and endless entertainment!

"We spent a week on Orcas at the timber lodge with our wedding in the middle at the red rabbit farm which is another magical place on orcas. We had a small family wedding and had our family with us the entire week. We rented another great house up the hill from the timber lodge. The timber lodge was perfect. It's so close to Moran, and centrally located making it close to eastbound, doe bay, and not too far from westbound or deer harbor. If you run out of things to do at and around this house there is something wrong with you. There are endless things to do and one of our favorites was to hang out on the giant deck that faces west and watch the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen for nearly 3 hours at this time of year. Richard and Lisa are fantastic. They are very helpful and kind people. Thanks for everything and we will be back. Travis"

  • Excellent. Don't want to leave!!!

"This lovely home was the perfect place for the 5 of us and our dog. We loved every minute of it. We stayed up very late watching the stars and woke up early to enjoy coffee on the be able to take advantage of every second. We don't want to leave. We've only had 4 days but we are so rested and revived it feels like much more and we want to stay longer. Everything from the very convenient ferry, beautiful views, excellent communication from the owner, quaint beach, perfectly appointed kitchen, comfortable furniturnishings, cozy beach blankets, and much much more this place is perfect and we will book again for sure!!! Now forget all that I wrote because we don't want anyone to hear about this secret gem we've found. We LOVE it and want it all for us. 😃👍👍 We are coming back, North Vancouver BC"
