  • Perfect Accommodations and Location :)

"Four of us stayed in this lovely, well-appointed home. It was wonderfully clean and extremely spacious! The porch with the swing and rocking chairs are a perfect way to end an active day. We used the Greenbrier Trail which is only a few blocks away. You are within walking distance to everything in town. Check out the coffee shop. We also had our motorcycle and West Virginia never disappoints. House is centrally located as we visited Cass Railroad, Droop Battlefield, Beartown State Park. Even though the house has no air conditioning, we were all very comfortable! We turned on the attic fan in the morning for about an hour and the house cooled considerably for the entire day. Ceiling and box fans are available in almost every room. Also -- BONUS have a washer and dryer. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone. Thank you to the owners!"

"We had a great Thanksgiving family time and visited nearby towns, train, snowshoe and the radio telescope...nice retreat, away from everything. Look forward for a future stay!"

  • Don't let the photos fool you, the place is amazing

"Honestly, I booked the place because of the view and I'm glad that I did. In the morning we woke up to a wonderful view of the lake and waited until the first boat broke the surface of the lake sending waves in each and every direction. Night time we stayed up late star gazing. You can see the milky way although lightly but its there! also caught a few falling stars. The inside of the place is comfy enough to fit 6 adults and our younger ones. It has wireless internet, which came in handy to look for activities near by, but swimming and fishing was more than enough. The place also has TV, but I must admit we didn't think of turning on not once. Instead we spent our time enjoying the view, grilling (Weber grill propane grill - yummm) swimming and hiking the private trails As for the flexibility, our schedule was all over the place yet they were flexible enough to accommodate it no matter which way we stretched them. 2 thumbs up"

  • Great get away home for large groups!

"My family takes a vacation every summer, and we have anywhere from 8-14 people that we need accommodations for. The Cranberry Mountain Lodge provided us with a wonderful space and had absolutely BREATHTAKING views. John was very helpful to our family, and was able to answer any questions we had. There is a humidifier that has been added in the basement, so any worries about musty rooms can be taken away. The Kitchen/Living area were huge and left us with plenty of room during the times we were in there. Multiple fire pits were available, along with firewood. We were able to see some wildlife on the trek up the mountain to the lodge which was amazing. The only downfall is the long drive up the mountain, but you would not be able to get a view like this house has without it! (just make sure to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle!) My family definitely loved our stay at the Cranberry Mountain Lodge!!"
