  • Hooks and Sticks Family Cabin

"We miss it already. The quiet. I like the dvd and radio only. It adds to the experience. The deer coming up to the back of the house. Perfect for my wife and myself. We also like the area for different activities. Necedah and Tomah great places to visit. Woodbine and Carlson's Rustic Ridge worthwhile supper clubs. We'll come back to visit areas we missed on our short trip. Don and Marge Oak Forest Il."

  • Perfect weekend getaway!

"Stayed at this place for a weekend. Had three families and had ample space for a comfortable stay. The house was very clean and there was clear instructions for everything! The owner really takes care of this place. The owner is specific about keeping the house clean but I think it is very beneficial for future renters. The views are awesome from 3 bedrooms and the dining/great room! Both kids and adults enjoyed the lake. Canoes and kayaks were a bonus! The house also came with volleyball court, foosball table and bean bag equipment. This was our first rental with a huge projector in the great room and a huge collection of DVDs. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, pans and glassware. Although we didn't use it, the kitchen also came with lot of spices and cooking stuff. We wish we had little bit more time at this place. Maybe next time!"

  • Perfect family lake retreat!

"We had 8 adults and 4 kids under 4 years of age. There is a "den" that has a futon where one couple/baby slept. It would be great if there was an actual bed in that room, but it worked. The sofas in the living room are also futons. The kitchen is fully furnished, but bring extra paper towels. One roll barely lasted us a day. We had just enough towels. I slept in the master and it was very comfortable. The kids loved playing at the beach (just outside the condo or down 50 yards where there is a beach with a trampoline in the water!) and walking across the "street" to the pool. They had a great kids pool. We didn't play much sand volleyball, but that's right there as well. We rented a pontoon for an afternoon from the resort (call the tiki bar to order it). It was perfect and the highlight of the vacation. We walked down to the tiki bar one night to listen to the band. Castle Rock lake is huge! It was pretty and just outside our window. None of us had even been here before. It didn't disappoint. Oh - get a fishing license online before you go. There isn't any place to get one conveniently. The guys enjoyed fishing. Everyone else caught fish.. we did not. We had fun creating memories with our grandchildren. Would recommend staying here! Only negatives: The dishwasher isn't "anchored" and I worried we'd break it. The was a hair dryer in the master, but not in the other bathroom. We didn't have16 resort bracelets and I was afraid Stacy would charge us for any missing. She didn't, but just an FYI for the next people that stay here. Maybe another roll or two of paper towels? There isn't a store very close, but we needed ice anyway... so we just picked some up then. Remember to bring your beach towels and coffee...and just enjoy. It really was a ton of fun!"

  • GREAT EXPERIENCE, GREAT OWNERS

"We stayed at this property over Labor Day weekend and had a great time. We've rented numerous properties throughout Wisconsin and this one has been the best. A great value for $150.00 a night. The cabin is impeccably maintained and extremely clean. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of room for all. What the pictures do not show too well is that there are actually 2 living areas in addition to the separate kitchen and the 2 bedrooms. We were very surprised at how roomy it was. Plenty of firewood laying on the forest floor, nice greens space for lawn activities, and a very convenient location for all the dells area has to offer. We did not use the canoe but wish we had time to. The owners were very personable and a pleasure to meet. We all wish we could have stayed a few more days. A sincere 'Thank-you' to Glenn and Deb for allowing us to use their cabin."
