  • Nice place!

"This is such a beautiful place to stay. We loved how everything was decorated - the flooring, the great showers, the island and counter-tops. Our absolute favorite things were the peacefulness and quietude of the lake and the fact that there is no WiFi! What a great way to unplug! If you need the loft for sleeping quarters, you may want to bring a blow-up mattress, as the futon was very uncomfortable. The mattress in the master bedroom dips in the middle, but it could be because both my husband and I tend to turn towards the middle of the bed and we are used to a king sized bed. Overall, beautiful place. And Airbud is a great dog! :)"

  • Grouse hunting group of four.

"The lodge has a well equipped kitchen with new appliances and an open area for dining/socializing. The bedrooms are very large and private with two full baths. The lodge was impeccably clean and had ample supplies such as linings, towels, and glasses/plates/silverware/cooking utensils. Most importantly, ample hot water on demand. Great service from John and Linda. Highly recommend this property for those visiting the Phillips, WI area, especially the summer and autumn."

  • 3 Generation Guytime - Best VRBO yet!

"My family and I have stayed at several VRBO homes throughout the US and Caribbean and without question this was the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The owner, Gloria, was very timely and prompt in our communications, the cabin and land were very accurately described in their property listing and the location was just perfect. I booked this property for my father (70) and two boys (12 and 9) for an extended weekend of 'Guytime'...bird hunting, late season fishing, hiking and just hanging out in the Northwoods. The cabin is well appointed, easy to get to off of HWY 70 yet very secluded (no road noise, no noise from neighbors, canoe provided, great little bonfire pit and Dish TV...it was the World Series after all). Great hunting and hiking in the National Forest, awesome locals and barkeeps...recommend checking out Musky Jack's on Pike Lake. Also, the Round Lake Logging Dam is a cool little hike and sight to see and the covered bridge east on HWY 70 is worth the drive. Cannot thank Gloria enough for the opportunity to rent her cabin for the weekend and would highly recommend to others. Also, for skiers, snowshoers or fat-bikers there are some great "Silent Sports" areas of the national forest that are within a 15-20 minute drive of the cabin...may try to book again this winter if available. Thanks Gloria!"

  • It was very nice and comfortable.

"We enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable. The one bedroom could use a lamp for convenience. Everything else in the home was very satisfactory. The only negative aspect was the snow removal, we had to walk thru snow to unload at the front door. The driveway was not plowed and it took several attempts to get in the driveway, almost slid into the retaining wall on the right side. You might consider having a snow shovel available to use. Overall we would rent again. Thanks, Dave Thibault"
