  • Beautiful home

"This was a beautiful property and big enough for our large family gathering! We loved all the space and the house was nicely furnished."

  • Our first VRBO experience was wonderful.

"This home was nearly perfect for our family of five. We were able to use it as a base for a number of day trips, and it was much more inviting to return to than a hotel room. It was a bit further from some of our daily destinations than we had planned for, but only once did that become a deciding factor in whether to go or not. We were able to get to the Jenny Lake area of the Tetons easily, and for a bit longer day trip, to the geysers and other nearby sights of Yellowstone via the south entrance. Our visit to the Bar-J ranch was an unexpected highlight - great food and music. We did a bit of hiking in the hills near SVR which provided a fantastic view of the valley. The room spaces were comfortably large. One teen slept on the couch which was preferred over the folding mattress that was available. The roll-away bed was used by another teen, which was acceptable. The teen in the king bed had no complaints! The shower on the main floor was a bit tricky to use because the combination of shower head, curtains, and wood trim. It took some getting used to in order to avoid getting a lot of water everywhere, and keeping the curtains from clinging to yourself. But it was manageable. Powered vents in the two bathrooms would be a worthwhile upgrade. Having cookware and appliances available, including a BBQ grill, allowed our cooks to make great meals and avoid having to eat restaurant food all of the time. A generous neighbor provided free access to his stand of raspberry bushes which was much appreciated. We didn't golf, but it was right there if we wanted to. I'm a runner and the roads in and around SVR were fine for a higher-elevation running experience, and had live animals to look at as a bonus. The property owner was just a phone call/text away when we needed something. They did a first-rate job of communicating both before and during the trip. The view of the hills to the east was incredible. We had forgotten what the night time sky looked like - amazing! It was so quiet - really quiet. You might hear folks leaving for work in the morning, or an occasional ping of someone hitting a golf ball, but other than that, it was practically silent. We hope to return to Wyoming for another vacation and would highly recommend this home!"

  • Quaint, cozy retreat

"If you're looking for an affordable and comfortable option in the Jackson Hole area, you won't be disappointed with this home in Etna. The home is spacious, with large bedrooms and baths, a well-appointed kitchen, and large, open living and dining area on the first floor. There is a very comfortable family room in the loft upstairs and a wonderful deck out back overlooking the valley. There are TVs in many of the rooms but only offer Apple TV, Netflix, and Roku. They offer Internet for those who can't disconnect from the world (though here, you may want to try!). The owners are super-responsive. When driving into Wyoming, we got caught in a snow storm so it took us much longer to arrive than we anticipated, causing the owners to rearrange their schedule to meet us at the house hours later than we expected. They were great. The neighborhood is super quiet and a little remote but a few minutes North is Alpine, where there are restaurants, gas stations, and a grocery store. Take the 40-minute drive North along the Snake River and you'll be in the town of Jackson."
