Our condo is a lovely air conditioned, first floor, one bedroom condo with a lanai situated in the lush tropical garden setting of the world famous Napili Shores Resort. Right next to Napili Shores is the gorgeous Napili Bay Beach where guests love to snorkel, swim, and sunbath. On-site is the Fish & Poi Restaurant (serving fabulous dinner fare), the Gazebo Restaurant (right next to the ocean, with great breakfast and lunches), a full bar, and convenience store. Also on-site are two pools (one right next to the ocean and the other with a jacuzzi), free gas barbeque's, picnic tables, laundry room, and activities desk with concierge to help make your vacation truly memorable. Napili Shores is also ideally situated for sunset and whale watching across the channel between the islands of Molokai and Lanai, and is conveniently located just a short distance from all the main activities on the island including the major tourist destination of the port town of Lahaina.
Note to the Cleaning Fee : The $130.00 Cleaning Fee is for a one time only cleaning in that the unit will be clean upon your arrival. We do not provide daily room cleaning however we can provide interested parties with our housekeeper's contact information if they wish to arrange something with her on the side.
The Cleaning Fee moreover also provides for towels and linens which include freshly laundered beach, bath, and hand towels as well as wash clothes and bed sheets. A small starter kit of cleaning supplies is also provided which includes a limited amount of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish washing detergent, and liquid hand soap. It is the responsibility of the guests to purchase more of these items if they wish them during their stay.

We stayed at Napili Shores after hearing very nice things about the beach. The beach was great, although the winter waves were not suitable for young children. The condo was as described, although the couch inside the unit was very smelly. The upper pool outside the unit was nice, although children under 12 are not allowed in the hot tub. This rule was strictly enforced by the numerous old ladies who seemed to patrol the pool. The other downside was the back wall, which backed on to the parking lot(bedroom wall) was not insulated properly for sound. You could hear the cars coming and going, especially early in the morning when people were coming to the restaurant. If I was going to stay at Napili again, I would book into a unit facing south to get the sun, and into one that had been renovated. I would recommend staying in this unit if the couch was replaced.Owner response: To all potential guests: We take the management and care of our condo seriously and the issue about the couch in our condo and the general need for it to be updated- will be addressed shortly. As far as the hot tub and parking lot noise go- unfortunately there is nothing we can do about either. Napili Shores, does have rules in regards to quiet hours and no kids in the hot tub largely because in the past, to many parents have left their children unattended and they have bothered other guests. Chalk it up to a few bad apples ruining it for everyone else! The parking lot noise admittedly can be a distraction on occasion but almost every condo complex on Maui has similar issues and honestly, if you can find a better vacation rental for the price- take it, because we doubt you will find one!

My husband and I as well as our 12-year old daughter spent two weeks in this unit in July 2008. The unit is very clean and very nicely maintained, providing everything you'll need during your stay (beach towels, linens, completely stocked kitchen), etc. The unit is located directly across from the larger pool and spa which makes it really nice to come and go throughout the day... and is especially nice in the evenings to take a dip in the spa before calling it an evening. We also loved having the gas BBQ outside of the building next to ours where my husband could tend to BBQ'ing our dinners most nights. The beach isn't too far from unit, and it's absolutely gorgeous walking through the property with the aeromatic plumerica trees throughout and well-groomed landscaping throughout. The property is very family-friendly and the unit itself has something everyone... including a very nice television with remote, vcr and stereo system... as an added surprise there's a "free" internet connection, should you feel the need. We can't wait to return in the summer of 2009, and your dealings with Randy who coordinates the property, as well as Barbara the owner are a 10+... both very nice and accommodating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Napili Shores is a perfect spot for those that like snorkeling, swimming in the ocean, swimming in a pool, dining or shopping. We were minutes away from everything we wanted to do. This condo is very nice with tile floors, a comfortable bed and an easy kitchen to work in. The pool and the barbecue were steps away, the grounds were pretty and fragrant with plumeria, gardenia and other tropical plants. I highly recommend this condo. My husband and I agreed that we would rather stay here than in some fancy resort.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My brother, sister-in-law, and I stayed in this condo in January, 2008. The condo itself was spacious, well-furnished, and comfortable. The owner was friendly and made the condo easy to rent. The only drawback during our trip was that they were repaving the parking lot during our visit, so there wasn't much parking or time to sleep in. My brother and sister-in-law LOVED the banana pancakes offered at the Gazebo restaurant, which is on the property. However, get there early because apparently a lot of other people enjoy them too. It is a small trek to the beach, but a stroll along the seashore is one of the bonuses of going to Maui.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
