This second story Condo is in a Gated Community and approximately two and a half miles from freeway access(I-25). Close to Balloon Fiesta Park (less than five miles), Movie Theatres (four miles), Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course (four miles), Old Town (10 miles), and many restaurants nearby. Other attractions nearby. Santa Fe approximately 60 miles north, and Taos approximately 125 miles north.
The master bedroom features a king-size Westin Heavenly bed and California walk-in closet. All towels, paper products, dish washing soap and laundry detergent are provided. All appliances including a Miele front load washer and dryer are provided.
The property features two pools (opened seasonally) and a bike path close to the property(two Motiv Bikes supplied for use during your stay). The balcony has one rocking chair and one rocking bench to enjoy the views of the Sandia mountains, as well as the beautiful west side sunsets. If you're here during the Balloon Fiesta, you can usually view the balloons right from the balcony as well!

- Mountain View: View the gorgeous Sandia Mountains. ('Sandia' means watermelon in Spanish, and is popularly believed to be a reference to the red color of the mountains at sunset. Also, when viewed from the west, the profile of the mountains is a long ridge, with a thin zone of green conifers near the top, suggesting the "rind" of the watermelon. However, Robert Julyan notes in The Place Names of New Mexico, "the most likely explanation is the one believed by the Sandia Indians: the Spaniards, when they encountered the Pueblo in 1540, called it Sandia, because they thought the squash growing there were watermelons, and the name Sandia soon was transferred to the mountains east of the pueblo." He also notes that the Sandia Pueblo Indians call the mountain Bien Mur, "big mountain."

Why the Owner Chose Albuquerque
I chose the ABQ Condo for many reasons. The location: it's close to freeway access, the International Balloon Fiesta, and centrally located to access most interests in Albuquerque with ease. Another Reason is that the condo is in a gated community: many of my guests like the idea of the security of a gated community. Also, there are two pools (opened seasonally) which is an amenity many families with children look for when vacationing.

Owner's Map of Albuquerque
I got the idea of a vacation rental when visiting San Diego, CA and staying at one. I was so pleased with the amenities, that I wanted to provide something similar in my hometown (which I love) in Albuquerque! Another influence (and most important) is my Grandfather, actually known as my Dad by most (since he raised me)- Ignacio Cordova,known as "IGGY" by those he knows. He is a retired CMSgt. The Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF) is a unique non-commissioned rank in the United States Air Force. The holder of this rank and post represents the highest enlisted level of leadership in the Air Force, and as such, provides direction for the enlisted corps and represents their interests, as appropriate, to the American public, and to those in all levels of government. He also directed and lead his family. What I love about my Grandpa, is not only did he teach and discipline me...he provided me with a "home" not just a house. Most people that know him, recognize his saying "Mi Casa Es Su Casa" (My house is your house). I hope that I can make my Vacation Rental feel like that for all my guests. Mi Casa Es su Casa....
