We visited Santa Fe for a summer vacation and loved our experience at this condo. The two bedrooms upstairs accommodated the four grownups while the downstairs sofa bed accommodated the little ones perfectly-the sofa bed is very good size and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need, including a dishwasher! We loved to sit out on their balcony. It even has a mountain view. The condo is very conveniently located, close to the Plaza and its wonderful restaurants. It's also close to Canyon Road! Last but not least, the owners were great, provided lots of information on every step of the process, until the last minute! We’d like to thank them and let them know that we would definitely stay at their place again, either this summer or our the next trip!

My husband, 4 year old daughter and I traveled to Santa Fe and had a great time staying here. It was a perfect distance from the plaza (15 minutes walking) and had plenty of space for us to spread out. Our daughter had fun in the pool. We enjoyed cooking a few dinners and highlights of dining out were La Choza and Ecco Gelato (walking distance, on Marcy St.) We have fond memories of our time in Santa Fe.

My 2 teenaged kids and I stayed here over spring break. We found the condo spacious, comfortable and cozy. It was clean and well-maintained, the owner was prompt to answer questions. It was located on a hill with a lovely view of the town, and we could easily walk to the plaza. It was also right on the way to the ski area. The people at the front desk were very helpful. The only issue we had was with the fireplace, which we could not get to burn without smoke backing into the room. I'd recommend it for a family vacation.

Arrived for our Santa Fe weekend Friday afternoon to find the main level at 46 degrees and the furnace not working. Worked with the thermostat (per instructions in notebook provided) for 30-45 minutes and then called and emailed owner (3:45 pm). After another 15 minutes of trying to get it working we decided to go downtown and left a key in the lockbox for the repairman. 2 hours later we returned to 46 degrees again and had not heard back from the owner. Tried the thermostat again for 15 minutes per the instructions with no results. Decided to go for dinner - it is now around 6 pm. Found a good restaurant from a tip in the notebook (thanks for that). Afterwards i had not heard from the owner still, so at 7:30 booked and paid for a hotel. Later I did receive a voicemail from the owner explaining I needed to follow the instructions in the notebook. Too little too late. I sent a long email staurday morning detailing the symptoms and all of the things I tried to get the heater to work. Received an email Sunday night (11pm) from the owner explaining they would have someone look into it later in the week. We had arrived home approx 5 hours before this. Monday morning I sent an email to the owner requesting a refund since a problem with the unit prevented us from staying there, and any timely attempt to remedy the issue was not provided. I received a reply Wednesday afternoon saying the heating was checked and was found in working order - no refund would be given. I needed assistance at check-in but could not get any help from the owner. This was a winter vacation so heat is essential. I do not understand why someone could not be sent to the property that afternoon to check it out instead of nearly a week later. Buyer BEWARE. If you need anything during your stay be prepared to fend for yourself.

We stayed for 4 nights in mid-June and found this condo a perfect spot for our Santa Fe family visit. Parents went to bed early and teens could hang out downstairs. Parents got out and about early, and teens slept in and then made their way downtown either via the Fort Marcy Park stairs or streets with STOP SIGNS at intersections. The staff was nice, pool and laundry convenient, property quiet and well-cared for--all in all satisfactory. Little dark inside, but stayed pretty cool. A/C a little noisy when we used it, but didn't use it a lot. Owners very helpful. Don't miss sunset on the Ft. Marcy Park stairs!

We enjoyed our stay at Ft. Marcy in this property. There is plenty of space in the living room and kitchen area, the couch and big chair are very comfortable. We had a party of 4 adult woman and there was plenty of space in both bedrooms and bathrooms. We chose to drive to the square so we could put our shopping bags in the car. It is a close walk, but an uphill walk when returning. The Master is sizeable with tub & shower, separate sink area, and the second bedroom smaller with a hall bath with shower only, both Queen size beds. We enjoyed hiking The Chamiza trail in Hyde Park, a mostly steady climb with narrow trails at times along a drop off. We would also recommend The Shed, Blue Corn, El Farro and Pink Adobe for dining...the second 2 higher $$$. We enjoyed our stay in Santa Fe!

We went to Santa Fe just before Christmas of 2010 for a ski vacation and loved our experience at this condo and in Santa Fe. The two bedrooms upstairs accommodated the four grownups while the downstairs sofa bed accommodated the little ones perfectly-the sofa bed is very good size and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need, including a dishwasher! The condo is very conveniently located, on the way to the ski area which was only a short drive up the mountain. Owner info

                  Year Purchased: 2005

About the owner: We purchased this home in 2005 when we lived in Santa Fe. We enjoyed living within walking distance of the Plaza, great restaurants, historic buildings, and the wonderful local community in the City Different. We have since moved out of state, but we love to come back to New Mexico!

Why the Owner Chose Fort Marcy:
Santa Fe is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year. In the summer you can find wonderful hikes and enjoy world class performances at the Santa Fe Opera. In the fall you can savor beautiful sunsets and cook some hearty New Mexican food to keep you warm. In the winter you can ski and snowboard, and take in gorgeous views of the snow-covered desert. In the spring you can get a thrill with every green leaf that pops up and enjoy a classic margarita on the balcony.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
My husband and I love to start the day with fresh scones from the Sage Bakehouse, and pack sandwiches to take on a hike. The Big Tesuque trailhead is only 10 minutes from the condo, and the Atalaya trailhead is just 10 minutes in the other direction. After a good hike we like to stroll around Canyon Road to check out new artists, or grab a margarita on the balcony of the Ore House while listening to live music. First dinner back in town is always at The Shed (excellent New Mexican food and wonderful atmosphere), with a short walk home. During the winter we'll get a fire going in the kiva fireplace and cook at home with dried chilies from our ristra (yes, you can eat the chilies on the ristras!).
