A great place for families with kids, this beautiful four bedroom/three bathroom home is in the exclusive Tahoe Donner development, situated on a large wooded lot. Built in 2002, the house has an open floor plan, comfortable living room with vaulted ceilings, a huge gourmet granite kitchen with bar seating for 6 and an additional dining area that seats 10. There is a gentle sloping back yard with a path that runs to Alder Creek where the kids can play in the Summer and offers wonderful sledding in the Winter. Owned by families with young children, our house is fully equipped with everything that a family will need for a relaxing vacation without having to pack up your house - Pack n Plays, high chairs, kids books, toy boxes, strollers, swing, DVDs, etc
(see list below). Perfectly suited for an extended family gathering or for two or three families, complete with wireless internet.
We have a huge private 7 person hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountains. The hot tub has a built-in stereo, complete with iPod/MP3 connection. There is a 46" High Definition Plasma TV with Cable and DVD in the loft lounge area and a beautiful stone fireplace in the living room. Large back deck with BBQ, hot tub, and wonderful mountain views. The master bedroom suite is on the main floor just a few steps away from a smaller bedroom with a twin nearby, crib and changing table for small children or babies.
Downstairs is a large kids play area and bunk room as well as two comfortably furnished bedrooms (Cal King & Queen beds), newly carpeted.
Large street-level garage with room for 2 cars (level driveway with parking for 4 more cars), and a fold-up ping pong table. We also have an iPod docking station and a fully furnished gourmet kitchen equipped with upscale appliances and stocked with most condiments and more. Bar seating seats 6 + dining table seats ten more.
House has all new furnishings - Calvin Klein down comforter/duvets, high thread count linens, great new beds. Mountain style decor, including granite, tile & travertine accents throughout the house.
Access to all of the community amenities such as swimming pools, hot tubs, a large gym, golf driving range, a sledding park, playground, tennis courts, equestrian center (with great pony rides for kids) and much more. Donner Lake is less than 10 minutes away with a fabulous private beach and Club House with snack bar, beach chairs, barbecue pits, as well as boating and water sports equipment rentals. You are also just minutes away from the Tahoe Donner Golf Course and the Coyote Moon Golf Course.
20 minutes from Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar at Tahoe, and Sugar Bowl Ski resorts.

Our backyard is incredible, with great sledding in the winter and the gorgeous Alder Creek is at the foot of our backyard. It's a great place for the kids to play, build forts, fish and explore. There are incredible hiking trails that leave right from our yard!

My family stayed at this incredible home over Thanksgiving. We were 3 families for a total of 12 people. We all had such a great time and never felt crowded. We have rented many other homes in the Tahoe area over the years and have learned to bring most of our own stuff, like pots, linnens etc. even if provided. That IS NOT THE CASE with this home! All you need are your clothes and food! Well stocked, exceptionally clean and top quality everything! It even became a joke that we were checking lables of different towels, and kitchen items to find out how we could get them for our own homes. Great access to Truckee for shopping and skiing @ Boreal. This one really is like home away from home, just be aware of many stairs if any disablilities. Great lighting, windows, and property add to the atmospheres. Loved the gas fireplace, easy, lovely, and kept us nice and toasty. No complaints from us, and we will most definately be returning!

We spent 4 days in the house during Christmas vacation. Everything described about the house is absolutely fitted with every amenity especially for kids! Despite there being no snow, we had a super time. The house is modern; the kitchen is huge; there are separate areas for the kids to watch TV; and the hot tub was amazing. The owner was prompt with answers to questions, and thorough as far as contracts and instructions on navigating the house. We had a fabulous time with no problems at all!! Thanks Gorelicks!

Our family of 8 is accustomed to squeezing into hotel rooms and other accommodations and finding somewhere that not only fits a family of our size but welcomes us is next to impossible. I wish that we had found this property ten years ago. When we arrived, my kids were chanting 'we are staying in a mansion'. It took us a while to tour the home since it is so large (three stories) and then we headed to the backyard and explored some more. There is a gorgeous creek (not deep enough to be dangerous) and trails galore through aspens and evergreens. When we had our fill of the outdoors, the hot tub felt amazing and later on the fireplace inside!! The entire home is well appointed and the owners have thought of every last detail. The kitchen is well stocked with every appliance you can think of and they even stock a small supply of the most used spices, teas, etc. The bathrooms are spacious, clean, and also stocked with everything you would ever need. We would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a spacious and warm home in the mountains. All you need to do is bring your clothes, your skis and food and if you don't feel like cooking there are some super restaurants a couple of miles away. My kids didn't want to leave but I could also see this being a great place for a girls get away or a couples retreat since there are so many bedrooms. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!!!

We enjoyed a long weekend at this lovely, spacious cabin with friends. There are lovely views from every room, and plenty of space for children to play downstairs. Group cooking is fun and uncrowded in the spacious granite kitchen. Lots of space to build snowmen and sled in the yard outside. Short drive from child-friendly ski mountain. And perfect to soak in hot tub at the end of the day! We look forward to experiencing this cabin again!

This home was even BETTER than we expected from the listing. Spacious, comfortable, clean, super kid friendly, large garage, plus great access to the slopes and all the wonderful amenities of Tahoe Donner. We had 6 adults and 6 kids in our group and it was perfect. Everything we needed for the kids was there. Plus a beautiful Hot Tub, Deck and views. T We can't wait to go back!
