The three (3) oceanfront master suites face the ocean and directly access the beach front decks. Two of the suites access the roomy, screened porch which is equipped with summer breeze ceiling fans for the warm summer evenings.

The Unique Benefits at this House
What are some of the unique benefits of our home? Our three oceanfront master bedrooms are likely the most unique feature of our home. Three couples can easily share this home for a vacation. If you were to search for a 5-bedroom house with 3 oceanfront masters, I'm not sure how many others besides ours you could find! Aside from the oceanfront location and the 3 master bedrooms, my two favorite parts are our showers with the vertical spa jets and our kitchen. The vertical spa jets are so relaxing! An important point: we have a gas water heater, so we can take showers back-to-back-to-back-to-back and not run out of hot water!! As for the kitchen...we have a huge family with tons of wanna-be-chefs, so we designed the kitchen to accommodate multiple cooks at one time. Because you can use the stovetop, indoor grill, and indoor griddle from both sides of the island, it makes it easy for 6 or more adults to use the cooktops at one time. In addition, as the mother and primary laundry lady, I love our front-loading washer and dryer. It's easy to keep fresh bathing suits and towels ready for the whole crowd! Our children's favorite parts are the easy access to the beach (it's not too far to lug their toys...we have private direct beach access), the air jet tub, and the many televisions...there's no arguing over what to watch, because a child who wants to watch something different can just move to another TV! (Come to think of it, that may be one of my favorite parts as well!)

We are posing with Mr. "Pick" (a long-time FB resident) during one of our vacations here. As you can tell by the pictures, we have a long family history with FB. We are a brother and sister who have vacationed on Folly our whole lives. Our grandparents had a summer cottage on Folly, and we thought it was the greatest place on the whole planet. We rarely went anywhere else for vacation, and that was OK with us! We grew up cherishing the time we spent here, and we consider ourselves so fortunate to now have the opportunity to see our own children splashing in this same ocean, covered with this same sand, with their hair tousled by this same breeze. In addition to staying in our family's homes on FB, we have stayed in many other rentals here, and we have taken note of the available amenities in those other homes. We have tried to include in our vacation rental all of the features we have enjoyed (or missed!) in other rentals over the years, and we hope guests find everything they need to ensure a fabulous vacation!
Why did we build on Folly, or, more accurately, why do we love Folly? I'll list just a few of the things we love; if the list doesn't make good sense, well, come on down to Folly and see for yourself what I mean! Here goes: Bert's Market (where you can get virtually anything, 24 hours a day), breakfast at The Lost Dog, surf lessons with Flea, the nice guy at Rose Hardware, dinner at Melvin's Barbeque, the James Island water park, browsing at the Market, pizza from Andolini's, our really great neighbors, chasing sand crabs after dark, a nice hot outdoor shower on the boardwalk, Mr. John's, fish tacos from Taco Boy, all of the great in-case-of-a-rainy-day museums, and the fact that there's no need for a pool when you have the beautiful "big pond" right in front of you.

Our family, which included me, my husband, two daughters and their husbands, three grandchildren, and one great grandmother enjoyed this beautiful home for a week last August. We especially liked the 3 ocean front master suites and the well equipped kitchen. Everything was great and the ocean views were spectacular! The listing description and photos were excellent - there were no surprises upon arrival. The owners called us to see how everything was going and were very helpful in answering our questions about the area. We are looking forward to spending another week here this year ~ we love this house and Folly Beach!
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
