Ever stepped outside the box and celebrated a new year at the beach? Remember the New Year starts on the Atlantic Coast first. Gather the family and start a tradition. It's a wonderful time of year to stay in No WAKE Zone, one of the warmest and most welcoming oceanfront homes in Emerald Isle. You can own the entire beach as you watch the continued majesty of the ocean. The sunsets are even more beautiful in the WINTER.
Envision being wrapped in a throw with your flute of champagne on the couch with the fireplace glowing and watching the "apple" or "peach" drop as the countdown starts. Or take your champagne to the beach and welcome the new year as you dance under the stars.
Don't stop there. Snuggle down in those covers and sleep another hour or watch the sun fully complement the sky from the Master Bedroom through its bay window on January 1. Or wrap up in a blanket with your hot chocolate and sit on the deck in the late afternoon as the dolphins move up and down the island. As a New Year's gift, they may put on a fantastic performance right in front of the house, in and out of the waves, up in the air and down again, sometimes seven or eight at a time.
Like to relax in a hot tub? Continue the celebration. There is nothing like soaking in a hot jacuzzi overlooking the ocean right in your Master bathroom with a glass of wine – compliments of the house.
Long walks on the beach are so inviting as the coolness of the weather gives more energy. Shell hunting is wonderful since the law of supply and demand is on your side and the kids can make a great "show and tell" out of the shells when they return to school.
Have you always wanted to have a seafood extravaganza? Or try that favorite recipe, but never had the time or opportunity? Now you can. The kitchen, should you wish not to go out for a meal, is especially well-equipped for easily making the food of your choice. Everything you need is right at your fingertips. Fresh oysters, scallops, shrimp, crab cakes, flounder and various other “fruits of the sea” are available at local restaurants or from seafood markets in the town. Treat yourself!
